We couldn't find any sandwich bread but I luckily find flour. I got 4 bags. I am one that can't fit anything else in freezer. Thanks for the tote tip. I'm not sure how long those bags will last one goes fairly quick when baking lol

I've been freezing all the things, I've started canning for the first time in 5 years, I managed to get a 2+ month stockpile assembled and I have commercial tp on back order. I renewed my Sam's card yesterday and found bulk yeast! The animals and humans have food and medicine. I've done the prep and I'm ready to feed my people and stay home and safe! BTW I used my big Ball electric auto water bath canner and it was fabulous and I highly recommend it over the stovetop!

Thank you Jamerill! As a pastry chef I would say not to freeze yolks solo, the texture changes significantly. Freezing whole eggs is probably fine for the yolk texture (I haven’t tried!) freezing whites is perfect! Sometimes freezing whites makes them even better for a recipe (macarons for example).

Wow this was so helpful! I never knew you could freeze raw eggs! I have mice. We have a huge rock wall the length of my property and my neighbors have the mice problem as well. I live in a 100 year old home and it definitely needs some work, however, for some reason, I’ve never had trouble with the mice getting into my food and I just have an open pantry on a utility cart thing upstairs. Plus my open food in my normal cabinets and such. However I will say, they always get into my dog food. I cannot buy dog food in bulk and I have to keep any dog food in locking plastic bins. I can’t just leave my dog food out in the bowls at night. I have found little hoarding stashes of dog food in odd places like my sons closet! It’s so gross! I know it’s not the dogs doing it, bc I have a gate on the stairs and they are not allowed upstairs. It’s so bizarre. I actually had to give away my 2 guinea pigs for the same reason with the mice. They were getting in their hay and food 😨 thank you for the great tips Jamerrill 💕

Great tips! Mason jars are great for freezing and critter proof for non-freezer storage. I just worry about ziploc bags getting holes in the freezer. I have a mason jar attachment for my vacuum sealer, and i get the air all out of the jars before freezing or shelf storage for things i dont use daily. 🥰

I keep commenting as I'm watching (sorry 😬) most grocery stores in our area are out of flour but I've had success at Sam's. You have to get 25 pounds though. That's 5 normal sized bags of flour.

I dice and freeze, onions, garlic, bells even par boil potatoes shred shape ino tots or hash browns and freeze. Anything to save food that I can get my hands on. Was able to score some millk and Oj froze that too. Love you Jamerril. I homeschooled my babies 2 decades ago we lived in the country too. Boy oh boy how I want to moved back. I want my own well too. stay safe girl friend Ps the salt and or sugar in the egg keeps it from getting rubbery.

Hi, save your milk for your family. You can and should buy milk replacement for your baby goat. Tractor Supply carries the powder and other supplies for feeding a baby goat. Whole milk does not supply the nutritional needs for a baby goat or a human baby for that matter. Love what you do!!! Thank you very much.

Thank you for this very timely video! And just an idea, because LOTS of women are taking this opportunity to do so – why don't you consider letting your hair color grow out and be natural. One less thing to worry about in your new homesteading life. I think you are beautiful inside and out.♥️♥️

We put squash in the ground yesterday. I’ve been cooking and making a lot of home made things to keep us out of town as much as possible (we’re both working pretty regular hours. I’m a paramedic and he is a welder and electrician who repairs and delivers heavy equipment) I want him to be prepared should I get sick. Like I’ve told him “man doesn’t live by froze nuggets alone”

If you can't freeze your flour, rice… just put it in a zip lock bag and put some dry bay leaves in with it to keep the bugs out. Thank you for the frozen egg tip. I didn't know how to freeze them. I love your videos.

I’m surprised you are having food problems! Are you having issues or was this filmed early on before people realized there wasn’t any food issues. Here in Michigan we are well stocked and the only thing they are limiting is the large toilet paper packages. Either way, I enjoy your videos! Stay healthy!

I get so happy when I see a new video! I even love the longer ones. Now, do you just defrost eggs in fridge when you need them? I am a Mama of just 2, I rent a townhouse with a small refrigeratorfreezer, small cabinet space…. I can't wait to get another freezer! I am getting real creative creating more pantry storage! All the rest is just my best, so I truly enjoy learning from you. All the Mama things! 🥰

I froze 2 half gallons of milk (there are just three of us and we use it mainly for cereal) and it took 2 full days to thaw in the fridge. The next time at the store I purchased a whole gallon and froze it in quart Ball canning jars (leaving head space) and it thawed much quicker in the fridge. I did have to put the jar in a container with cold water for about an hour. Thanks for all these tips! That is interesting about freezing eggs!

I got powdered milk and made creamer. My family got all freaked out about using powdered milk. So I made a qt and mixed it with a can of condensed milk and cocoa, ( cocoa optional). You could also add vanilla or cinnamon. Well they loved it. I had saved my old creamer container. I bought some yeast, can’t wait to use it. I love freezing homemade cheese sauce. So all I have to do is add sliced potatoes or pasta. Love all your videos 💗💗
