Love number 10, I plugged mine in to start cooking and nothing, checked the plug that goes into the pot and it was loose. Scared me, I thought it was broken, thank goodness false alarm. 🙂

Always chop your own garlic and make (and freeze) your own stock (you do have a pressure cooker, right?). Good tips otherwise.
Can you recommend a different product than Better Than Bullion? It is filled with MSG and I have a family member with an anaphylactic allergy to it. No idea what to use in place of that stuff if not stock.

I need help to my question!! I own 2 Ninja Foodis and all accessories. Anytime I cook in the pot or crisper basket it tastes like SOAP. I don’t know why! I make sure there is no residue in the pot (from my dishwasher) and run water to rise it before use. My food is always RUINED and I always have to toss the food!! (Aircrisp and baked OR pressure!) It’s such a waste and disappointment. PLEASE tell me you know how to fix it. I have tried everything and you are the first person I thought of! Please, please help

Best instant pot cute guy. Recipes are great. I beg beg beg you to stop using salted butter. Salted butter came to be when refrigeration wasn’t possible. Use FRESH unsalted butter please !!! It’s sweet and you are in control of sodium. Not to mention it’s fresher and more flavorful

Jeff, not saying this to be a know-it-all (attn, Haters), but, the "Better Than Bullion" tastes so great, because of the "yeast extract", which is food biz code for MSG – which many of us seek to avoid, seeing as it is no-bueno, for the human endocrine system. But, of course, do as you please, so long as you know the facts. BTW, many natural foodies get their britches in a knot, when you point out that nearly all of the aseptic-carton-packaged milk alternatives are jazzed-up with MSG. Sorry, to the triggered "Crunchies", but the item, listed as "natural flavorings", on your "natural foods", is allowed to contain – or outright BE – (100%) MSG, as per FDA shenanigans, which loves big biz, but cares NADA, for you!

I just got my Instant Pot yesterday and have been “binging” on Ytube videos. I’ve really enjoyed yours since they are concise and to the point! I’m replacing a stovetop pressure cooker (20 yrs.) and an electric one (15 yrs) and an electric rice cooker. I was attracted to the stainless insert since my others were non-stick and the finish was going. I love to cook and look forward to trying all the recipes I’ve seen online! Tip #11 is a good one. Many newbs have asked why their meals are coming out raw after X amount of time. Some don’t know it has to pressure up first.
#1 TIP: TAKE IT OUT OF THE DAMN BOX! Sometimes, I just want to scream when I read, “I’m terrified of my IP. What should I do?” Take it out of the damn box and put food in it!
