Thanks for sharing Marlene, love all your canning. The freezer is neat, i never kept bread in freezer, how long does it last? does the flavor change after taking it out? That project looks great with all those shelves.

Your pantry is very impressive! I never thought of using a shower caddy to hold produce but that's a pretty good idea. The "surprise reveal" oh my goodness those canning shelves are gorgeous!!

Yeah! Great organizing. Totally fear of pressure canning and I need to get over it. I have broth and spaghetti sauce in the freezer so that would free up some room for the things. I have been on a mission to use up condiments lately so I have been mixing them for marinating meat and more but now all the stuff on the door moves. 😂 I love the canning shelves! So beautiful and functional.

People take for granted that food will be readily available but in these times it's getting scary. I started stockpiling a few weeks ago. I live by myself so I don't need much but I don't want to worry that I have no food.

    Thank you for your video.

I only have eyes for your canner, …. so sad. I'm sick, SICK I tell you!

I have five quarts and eight pints of potatoes in my canner now, just coming up to temp, ….

OMG, … your shelves, YOUR SHELVES!… where's my eyes now? SICK I tell you!

You are miles ahead of the herd, .. just don't stop.

I have a stuffed chicken in the oven, … Yum, yum.

PUMPKIN! … I have 13 Pie Pumpkins on the porch and one large regular one. I'm going to try dehydrating Pie Pumpkin this year.
    The dehydrated Squash looks perfect.

I just love those 15 bean soup mixes.

AGGGHHHH!!!! I just checked the stuffed chicken and the dressing "exploded" out of the back where I had it all "sewn" up, looks terrible but tastes great, … lol

I broke the cardinal "rule" and put all my veggies in with the chicken.
According to those who have never cooked a meal besides opening a can, I'm supposed to use a separate pot for every vegetable.
I just say. "you do the dishes then", … and not another word is said.

    Timer is ON!

The fifty lbs of ugly carrots I bought from the factory for $5 made 64 pints of carrots but that's only a pint a week for 64 weeks. I'll hardly get fat on that. I'm dehydrating the second fifty pounds.
The turnips will be sliced, peeled, and frozen. They freeze up so nice. I do nothing with the parsnips leaving them to freeze in the barn and taking one when wanted.

If you have a local large animal feed store you might want to check them for bulk grains at a decent price. Whole wheat and oats kinda thing. Whole corn?
DO NOT mention GMO free or organic unless you want to give them a good laugh, …
I know our Feed Mill has big bags of black oil sunflower seeds for birds and I hear they make great sprouts, … but you'd want to check them closely and make sure they are not treated with anything. Most bird food isn't but you never know.

Another hint, check the local bottle return depot for bottles and jars, … then check again and bring chocolates this time, … they'll remember and they train so well with chocolates. AGGHHH!!!!

Have a great one and good luck.

Funny how we try to "hide" the favorite things and then the kids find them, tear the box open and then leave the little bit left in the box and still in the "hidden" place! LOL too funny.

your canning shelves are gorgeous! I'm so happy you got them built and are stocking them up! I say it every time but I am so jealous of all of your space! What a great pantry! Also, the fact that your cabinets and fridge look like that without you having to go in and clean them first? GOALS!

Marlene, if I had all the things you have in your prepper pantry I probably wouldn't need to grocery shop for those things within a year or two maybe 3 or longer. I have noticed a lot of people get the best by date confused with how long the foods would be actually good for.
