Very nice recipe. Taste is spot on however, 3 whistles was not enough for me and the beef was still slightly chewy. I had to give it another 2-3 whistles then it was fine.

None of my pressure cookers 'whistle'. How long t=does this take? I think a teaspoon each of butter or ghee and sugar would have given a great finish to a super-duper recipe. Thanks.

    Hi Karen,
This is how my mum would prepare the beef roast with cloves inserted in the meat.
I would like to add for the benefit of those who don't know ( I might have missed it though if you have already mentioned it); we preferably use coconut vinegar in the cooking as the synthetic vinegar just doesn't give the authentic taste.
Apart from that, you have shared authentic goan beef asado recipe!
    Thank you!

We indians dont use vinegar as part of any if our dishes…i am from NE and we definitely dont, the rest the spices is, as per preference, though we NEasterns dont use it. Ginger, garlic and locally found herbs is what we use. Overall, good beef receipes in this video
