What cut of beef did you use? I used an outside round cut in my recipe, and it was tough as leather. The store didn't have any chuck, which my recipe said I should use.

A Pressure Cooker has been out since the 16th hundreds so it's no surprise for a complete meal to be ready in 25 mins.
I use the pressure cooker that goes on top of the stove. I might have an issue with these electric kinds. Looks easy enough though.

I wanted to make a slow cooker roast today, but by the time I got to the store, I realized that to cook it the way I like it — low and slow — we would have either been eating at 10:00 tonight or had to have sandwiches and tried again tomorrow! Then I thought to use the Power Cooker just to brown it — by the way, thank you for saying how you brown yours, as there's no Browning button on this one (on the smaller one, however, there is). My husband asked, "Why don't you just cook it in the Power Cooker XL? I thought about it, and thought maybe he was right, and followed along with you.
The only real difference was what I used as my base: 2 cans cream of mushroom, 1 onion soup mix, threw in bunches of vegies (potatoes, celery, carrots — I had an onion but forgot to use it). I'm literally about to open the machine RIGHT NOW…. Be right back …
A bit disappointed. I did the 25 minutes, and while it cooked, it isn't tender. Gonna try 15 more minutes and see if that works. Will let you know…

The video should have been longer to show the result of how tender it was.  My guess is not very tender.  For a piece of meat that large, you should have done at least 45 minutes.

Would have been helpful if you took out the meat and veggies at the end to check if they were done to perfection. I have made things in my pressure cooker and the meat came out tough and I had to put it in a while longer. I'm new at this.

The XL Power Pressure is amazing my husband bought me one last year. Now I own 2 pressure cooking and of course my rice cooker.  I have made many dishes plus cooking tamales.  I didn't us the store that much this summer.  Plus with my schedule I can whip dinner in less than 30mins and spend time with my husband before I go to the convalescent home to see my mother. I has been amazing having the pressure cooker your going to love it….

for all those worried about the tenderness of the meat just cook it all in the pressure cooker for 1 hour. it will be tender like you want, even the guy from the commercial has a video of youtube talking about how so many people claim it wasnt tender like the commercial. on that video he said go to 1hr. I have the exact same pressure cooker and I love it. great video by the way!!!!!

Thanks for the video. I have had mine for a week. It is the first Pressure Cooker that I have owned, I upgraded it to the Pro. Used twice, frozen chicken wings and a Venison Pot Roast. So easy, and I have time to figure out what we have on hand, look for a recipe, and watch some You Tube for directions. Still have enough time to cook eat and clean up on time. Pressure Cooking is for me!

Linda of "Linda's Pantry" showed off one of these a week or so ago, and now you. It tickles me to see someone making and promoting an appliance like this that just might make the pressure cooker less intimidating to home cooks.

Personally, I don't see why people are so fearful of them, but then, I was learning how to use my Mom's when I was 10, and I've been using my 50 year old Mirro-Matic since the day it came out of the box, and I've never yet managed to blow one up. It's an old friend, and a powerful tool, and I couldn't live without one. And yes, it makes the best pot roast EVAH!  LOL

With pushbutton controls, and automation and simplicity of use, and with demonstrations by trusted YouTube cooks such as yourself, just maybe people will realize how dang useful useful the things are, and that they're really not life threatening at all. Well done, Beth!

SO cool to see you using this. Pressure cookers are one of those things I am so curious about but scared of at the same time. I did use one of the old school ones at a clients house a couple times. Scared the crap out of me with that little knob on top jingle jangling around lol.

Amazing machine!  What else does it do beside brown and pressure cook?  I was surprised to see the canning feature and that can be so handy!  Beautiful meal and so fast!  I have always been afraid of pressure cookers and using them, afraid they would explode!  xo
