Y'all have helped me declutter, manage inventory, stay on top of things, put it away now, laugh and feel normal. Often I say to myself that there is nothing more to declutter, then I walk around the house and….there it is. Thanks for the pep talks, advice, guidance. Wishing y'all a happy, healthy, successful and clutter-free 2023!

This year has been simpler as I've been recovering from knee surgery. I never got to put my tree up so i will leave tbe wreath up until Jan 6. I tend to give family money & items such as special chocolates, biscuits or nuts. If Listening to your podcasts was inspiring and helpful when I was in hospital & rehab so I got some things off to charity and decided not to take a lovely bed from a friend. You've challenged me to start up again. God bless

Thank you for helping us focus on the true meaning of Christmas! For those of us whose faith is steeped in a liturgical Christian church, Christmas Day is just the BEGINNING of Christmas, which lasts for 12 days until Epiphany. So I gradually take down all the other Christmas decorations, but the nativity and the Christmas tree stay up until January 6th. That gives me 12 days to gradually put away everything else.

I'm so pleased to see Dawn stacking the boxes for obvious recycling even though it was verbally referred to as trash.
We need to continue normalizing recycling.
Those potholders don't even have holes. Wear those out the rest of the way. No one is pinterest perfect anyways.

I feel guilty saying this… I'm throwing away my leftover wrapping paper this year. I have saved (and used) rolls for decades in the past but I live in a studio and don't want to manage the inventory. I wrapped four presents this year with a new roll. $3 well spent but not worth moving around in my closet all year

Love this video so much! Already watching for the second time 🙂
Side note – my house is very decluttered so I don’t need the take your house back course, except the all day decluttered sound soooooo fun! Wish I could participate without buying the course – but I know that’s part of the perks in purchasing the course 😉

In our family, everyone crumples the wrapping paper into balls as they unwrap presents. As the presents are finished, a light hearted battle begins with the wrapping paper balls flying. Once the battle winds down, a box is set in the middle of the room and it becomes a basketball game, finishing with all the paper in the box.

I needed this. First holiday season with a baby, and am so overwhelmed. Between Hanukkah and Christmas, he got way too many toys, and I'm feeling the guilt. Anything that is too "busy" (noise and lights) and still boxed, we're hanging onto for toys for tots next year. What we are keeping, we're stashing away to slowly introduce over time, while rotating his toys.

We keep our Christmas/winter things up during the bleak months. I could never understand why people are in such a rush, I’m the middle of beautiful autumn, to out up Christmas/winter decor, right after Halloween, and then immediately tear it down after Christmas. A lot of it is commercialism. When people see the stores setting up for Christmas in mid September, then they get the itch to hurry and decorate. Stores also clear everything out right after Christmas because they are anticipating spring inventory.

I want to be a member. The link to the Course does work. But when I try to book something or navigate further there are only empty sides. It´s only a thing on my computer or problems with my browser? Or does someone else also communicated issues with the website?

Definitely keep the socks to regift Dawn! I have a whole shelf in a wardrobe to keep my things to regift!! Regifting equates to cash. The less we have to buy gifts the more Money 💰 we save!!

I find it’s easier to donate a gift than to return it. Unless it’s something really expensive. I can remember standing in line for a very long time years ago to return an absolutely thoughtless gift from my boss to get seven dollars. Not kidding.

Dawn, on the subject of taking care of your returns, I would like to add a few things to save people some headaches, and some anger as well. When you are taking your packages into the Post Office to be returned, please have your package already sealed and the return label taped over the old label before you hand it to the window clerk. The Post Office does not provide free tape for your use (unless it is returned via Priority or Express Mail, which it most likely is not). You are expected to buy your own tape. If a clerk happens to have clear tape behind the counter, it's been paid for out of his or her own pocket and their sick of people arguing with them why tape isn't free. Also, be sure you are taking your packages to the right place. UPS and USPS are not the same people, and neither is FedEx. One company is not going to deliver the other companies packages for them, or you. So your return package may never be seen again because you took it to the wrong place and just left it. And you won't get your refund either. Your return label does tell you who it goes to.

Great video. I struggle with starting and then being defeated because I don't feel like I've gotten anything to change for anyone else in my home. Decluttering and getting others to help seems impossible..I try and remember that just daily cleaning and picking up keeps my brain feeling like I've accomplished something. I have to learn to declutter alone but I need to find someone to do it with to feel accomplished.

Not exactly on topic..Where is the video with the gentleman who talked about emotional clutter as it relates to the physical clutter please? You did an interview with him this year some time and I cannot find it. Was it on both your channels? Thanks🌻
