Wow! The second you crumbled the cornbread, my mouth started watering. It took me back to my mama's table on the farm when I was a young teenager. Thanks for the memories! Will definately be doing this one.

I use boullion cubes when I make soups. Theyre cheap and taste great. No need to salt the food either. I even use them to make a simple gravy too. Just boullion, pepper, flour, a little oil and water.

The French word for the flour and butter is roux pronounced “roo” in English. If you add milk/cream it’s a bechamel and it’s a basic white sauce or base for a cheese sauce. I like your potato soup but I think I would add some leek to it because I grow leeks.

I have tomorrow off, and I was feeling a little run down so I thought wow I have a few potatoes I need to use up and some left over lamb bone broth. What a perfect idea! I was just going to use up my Zucchini tomorrow and make some Mock Pie filling, so what a great way thing to have going on the stove! Thanks for the awesome idea!! Since it is just me living here, and I usually freeze my leftovers, have you ever frozen any of the soup> Just curious? Or should I just make a really small amount? Thanks again!

From what I can guess about starvation recipes I would think adding handfuls of greens. Try a handful of chopped dandelion greens and other wild greens. Stinging Nettle is supposed to be very nutritious.

Whey is said to be a rather high protein and complete protein if it is available.

Regarding stone soup they used to heat up a rock and throw that in the pot.

Mushrooms are a complete protein, low starch, and low calorie.
