I am 73. My 1921 Mother grew up on a AL cotton farm. That is what she grew up calling a Hoe Cake too. Most people that have heard of it tell me it's corn meal. Thank you:)

Hi Tammy! Who doesn't love fried taters & gravy over a big, light, fluffy biscuit? Yum! I'll have to look for that brand of bacon in our local grocery stores. Looks like it's worth a try!
Have a Happy Birthday, Chris! I hope y'all have a wonderful trip! Just remember, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!! We won't tell!! 😊
    Thanks for another video, y'all!

Looks delicious. We usually like our eggs with the yolks aren't quite done so they are a bit runny unless we're eating them on a sandwich. We usually dice our fried potatoes. At Mom's (mine) we usually eat our eggs with toast. I like to dice my fried eggs really small just like my father did. I am mostly like my father. At Dad's (Lee's as mine died in February 1996) he does biscuits.

In Las Vegas, February weather averages to be a high of 64°F with a low of 42°F. As you can see, the lows can still get fairly chilly, so it's best to pack layers. Desert nights can get especially cold, so be sure to pack your warm pajamas. While Vegas has an average of 294 sunny days a year, February tends to see more rainy days.

My stepfather was born in 1896 in Pinebloom, Ga. He made a his cake that was out of this world delicious and he cooked it on the stove top. He used a 8" nonstick little skillet. He mixed self rising flour, milk and bacon grease together. He put 1-2 tablespoons of bacon grease in the skillet, Poured the batter in, cooked it slowly for about 20 minutes, flipped it over, cooked it another 10 minutes or so and it was delicious.!
