Dulse flakes more importantly , are providing iodine to us ESPECIALLY AS WE CUT OUR IODIZED SALT INTAKE ! I read that processed foods use salt THAT DOES NOT CONTAIN IODINE. (to avoid the population getting too much iodine in their load of junk food) Sea salt and other "trendy" salts have NO IODINE in them (hence the adding of it in to salt to avoid thyroid problems by Morton, etc back in the day.). I am not a doctor but from what I remember kelp has too much iodine in it….we only need a small amount….we could get too much easily by using it even as a seasoning. Dulse, nori, are fine for use regularly (dulse 1t or less a day, nori is fine a couple of times a week…they are both not as problematic to control as Kelp) Please look this up for yourself regarding amounts. I remember reading that when we eat a LOT of greens we definitely need to have SOME iodine daily as the higher amount of greens can lead to imbalance and create thyroid problems (Hypo). This is what I remember from my study as I went plant exclusive. I went green smoothie crazy back then and cut Iodized salt completely (I still ate Miso, fermented veg, ketchup, etc.) Somehow I ran out of the nori that I was using 2-3 times a week for tempeh, tofu, roll ups, etc. AND STOPPED USING IT COMPLETELY for 8 months , focusing on the green smoothies & salads….I just forgot to use the nori ! Eight months later I was diagnosed with Hypo thyroid !!I AM NOT SAYING THAT THIS IS PROOF ….(I've watched too many Sherlock Holmes stories to think of that as evidence that PROVES the case, but it is highly circumstantial to my untrained mind)….BUT Hercule Poroit would DEFINITELY apply his"little grey cells" to this problem TO BE SURE!!…It always impresses me how much we need to know in order to do this Vegan thing right ! Good Knowledge & Good Digestion to ya' along the Planty Way!

I watched the recording, not live. I just want to say I have used my new Breville oven many times since getting it. Roasted mini peppers are fabulous. I'm eating potatoes more often because oven cooked potatoes are great and the Breville does a good job–it's efficient. I also love my Breville sous chef peel and dice because it does what I hate to do: cut food. The food processor makes quick work of slicing and dicing. It helps me with my commitment to eating WFPB. Yes, my counter has appliances. Would I like a clutter-free counter? Of course. But eating healthy is more important. Thanks for your recommendations. I also use the super cubes frequently.
