❤️💖😅
Whatever happend to your buddy “wo and behold “? Does he still do wfpb?his channel was inspiring as well.
They make rice soup out of that crispy rice. It's supposed to be really good. Mommy Tang made some on her YouTube channel.
You guys are hilarious, this is one of my favorites because of how funny it is! I especially enjoyed Reebs "ranting" of how Whole Foods is way overpriced:)
LOVE H Mart! My go-to to buy JSP’s SOOO much cheaper than Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods. 🍠
As a half-asian it was pretty entertaining to see your take on the Asian market and its offerings, thumbs up for going and covering it! In many Asian cultures the "burnt" rice that forms on the bottom of the pot is considered the best part. As to the vast selection of things: it's pretty much the same when you reverse the situation: my local grocery store has soo many bays of pasta sauces, canned tomato products, mayonnaise, cucumber pickles, etc: all of which might seem excessive to an Asian not used to American cuisine.
Not a fan of Asian markets. I can’t get past the fishy smells. Most products are salt bombs.
Hey! My first time watching you guys! I love HMart here in New Jersey. I started to go to just get the Japanese Sweet Potatoes. It is overwhelming to walk the whole store.
CAN'T WAIT FOR THE VEGAN KIMCHI 🙂 🙂
How do you go to Asian market and not buy eggplant
An Asian friend taught me to cut a slit or an x in the raw chestnuts and boil them in water. I like them so much better that way and they are soft like those in the foil packets. Try them that way! I think I boiled them for at least 20 minutes. Try a few at a time until you get it right.
I always grab a la croix when I leave winco, if the machine is working!!
I have been to LeeLee Market a bunch, but man it stinks there!!!!
I don't know if anyone will see this, but it has been a while since I have jumped on YT .. where is Nick? Is he still vegan is he doing ok? I tried to pull up some of the mukbangs (for recipes) on his channel and his channel is gone 🤷♀️
I love H mart! Such awesome produce and rice is so inexpensive!
Roasted Chestnut Rant!! Loved this!! 🙂
Fair review and friendly at the same time. Two thumbs up.
Fooooood
I love Asiana! I haven't been to HMart as it's a bit of a drive but I'll have to check it out sometime
I have the same packaged chestnuts, help me do something with them. Please 😀
We have an Indian store
(which caters to the Southern Indian community)
two Chinese stores
and a Vietnamese store
fortunately none are too big
but they do have a full range of goods
and the Tamil Indian store also has
African and Latin American goods too.
I love finding things in these stores.
Recently I bought some fufu flour
because it was vegan and it was cassava and plantain flours combined
Not sure if it is too health
but I too have a "novelty switch" like Reebs.
Hey guys… Dr McDougall says that nuts used to be a mostly annual treat. They were in the shell, and hard to get to. Now! We can eat them daily, because we can buy them already shelled (and fried and salted, sugared, etc). That's why not to buy chestnuts that are already roasted and peeled. Today we can eat these high powered snacks and wash it down with a sugary vegan drink. No wonder people say 'it doesn't work.' They're not getting slimmer or healthier, so they might as well not stay vegan which they equate with plant based. Your story, Dillon, about having been an unhealthy vegan is so important, and so far you've represented all that's good about the healthy whole plant food way of eating. We need that clear message so much. It's fun to buy, try and show how the corporate food industry is taking what is supposed to be healthy, and turning it on it's head, but to be clear, we don't want these products sold at the register, or even included among the healthier versions of, say soy milk, or chips. I know there's already soy milk with sugar in it, but am really upset that it's being sold as a grab and go drink. Love seeing what's available in the Asian market in your area. I finally made it to my local Asian market. There was no produce, and everything was in packages and baggies. I need to learn more about what's available. They didn't have what I wanted, so I got it through Amazon. Keep up the good work. We need you out here. You're one of our beacons of what actually works in the WFPB no sos world.
Thank you for doing a video about H mart. I am sometimes intimidated to go there because many vegetables are not labeled in English. When it is unfamiliar, I don’t know how to cook it or what it’s called. But I agree it is nice to explore something new.
Love your channel – have learnt so may great tips and recipes. Thank you. Hoping I can give back with perfect roasted Chestnuts. I roast chestnuts every Christmas for my granddaughters. Preheat oven to 425. Cut a cross in the top of each chestnut place in a pot with cold water to cover. Bring to a boil. As soon as pot reaches a boil remove chestnuts with a slotted spoon. Place on baking sheet cut side up and place in preheated oven for 15 – 20 mins. Remove from oven and wrap in kitchen towel. Let sit for 10 mins then peel and enjoy. As long as the chestnuts are fresh they come out perfect every time 🙂
I love H-Mart. The only problem is that I have to drive across the bridge from Maryland in to Virginia to get to one; and it's like a 40 minute drive each way. Grrrr
i buy peeled garlic. so hard to go back to the bulb!
Thank guys. You rock!
Dr. Greger has proven that the salt in miso soup has no effect like other salts because of the soy almost cancels it out.
Wonder if you might consider lowering your music or even removing it. I love to hear just you two! 🥰
I love H Mart! I love the Techno playing in the background
It was so good to hear a Youtuber talk about Jewel! Born and raised in Chicago and I actually worked for them for 11 years!
"It ain't half good either." snort chuckle You guys are so fun I'm driving there right now to crash your hot pot party and I'm stealing those ginger candies as I used to be addicted to those! LOL!
Omg…i am such a nutritarian and my wife is such a snacker too
In Ohio, our Asian markets are tiny & dirty & look like fronts for the Asian mafia. But I still watched anyway. That produce section is to die for!
Isn’t soy genetically modified unless marked organic?
