Dang Kenny! That’s some good looking pinto beans!
The Instapot is great for cooking dried beans. I love cooking Lima beans in mine. They always turn out perfect.

I love my Instant Pot. I usually have just clear water from the steam when I do a quick release but I haven't cooked beans. Maybe that was from the starch. I learned from watching videos to put a dish towel over the lid when using quick release. My model has alignment arrows on the lid and the rim that help to get the lid locked on BUT only if you notice them (raised letters & symbols in black on black…you definitely have to look for it!). Another thing I learned watching videos is that the lid can be inserted into slots in the handles to hold the lid when you open the pot. I had my lid rolling around the counter for months before I found that tip. Have fun with your new kitchen toy! It gets less terrifying eventually 🤣
