My new Phillips pressure cooker does not have the rice measurement in the bowl or the simple rice recipe in the book. I am so annoyed that this is still not standard with the new model since I bought it to replace my old rice cooker!

why use pressure cooker to cook rice? rice doesn't need hours to cook. Just use regular rice cookeer, as long you use the right amount of water & rice, the rice will be perfectly cooked ;))

I have purchased HD2237 AIO. The recipe book does not provide any guidance on cooking plain rice. The pot does not have any marks for water level.
How do I cook al dente basmati rice? What is the ratio of water for one cup rice? What time should I set in the manual mode of pressure cooker. Should I allow natural pressure release.
I used two cup water to one cup basmati rice, used rice setting for 14 min cooking time and let the pressure release naturally. The rice was over cooked for my liking.

More user data: 1 cup brown rice: Heating = 17mins, Start Pressure + 30 secs, Maintain Pressure + 13 mins = 30 mins before the cool down (around 5-7 mins but you could speed that up).
