Cooked this last night and my Mexican friend who used to run a taco truck said it's the first time she's had Mexican food in England which tasted like it does back home. Going to cook this for 140 people at my wedding next year!
If y’all are trying to make this on a budget, you don’t need the beef broth or other spices to make it delicious. Just did it with a Dutch Oven with 3 pounds of cheek meat for $10, a $1 onion and a $0.50 clove of garlic. Seasoned with salt and dried oregano. Did just fine in the Dutch oven without any parchment or liquid added. And made the salsa for $5 and was able to freeze the leftover for another time.
I love your videos but this is missing two factors, first of all barbacoa is lamb, not beef and it's not a broth, it's just the Meat on the maguey. No doubt it must taste delicious!
you know instead of getting a house security system, you could just move to canada. break ins are rare here, how rare, my parents have never had some one break into their home and they have been alive for more than 60 years now. clearly moving to canada would solve many problems 🙂

I found Barbacoa in HEB Stores. I no have to kill cow or dig hole. Just buy corn tortillas, onion, cheese, sour cream and guacamole if i want.
I can't bring myself to even try beef cheeks
What does it taste like?

I have tried to find Tomatillos in Australia and have had no luck! I presume using canned version is a no no?
I have cooked with bay leaves and without. I taste no difference. Why even use the leaf?

Change meat from brisket to cheek meat and you can make it perfect for 1/4 price.

You should make some Mexican Aguachiles so good
i love your red pot!
How would you adjust accordingly if using an instapot?
Ah yes waygu brisket and beef cheeks because everyone can afford and find that locally why not use chuck roast?
Brisket point or flat?
That's a lot of work for onions when you can just peel it cut it in thirds almost to the end then slice down to however thin you want it
Click bait, a perfect barbacoa only be posible in the horno de tierra.
I got some of these in LA with a slight twist they served it on 2 tacos with American cheese in-between was amazing
Papa should've made his own tortillas.
He said " Back slash " – It was a front slash
So what if we don't have tomatillos?? Because we really don't have a lot of ingredients in the UK 😭😭
I do wanna cry…for wanting one SO bad!!
