Yep. When I was growing up, my family had this dish once a week, so did my classmatesβ/childhood friendsβ. My Cantonese friendsβ sometimes used leftover bits-and-pieces of Chinese BBQ pork (char siu εη) in this egg scramble instead of fresh shrimps, and added just a little green peas and diced conventional onion.
That's almost like my egg foo young except for the shape and it doesn't have Bean sprouts which I love. I will be making this for breakfast. Dude really seemed to love it. β€β€
Letβs have Flo doing the taste and camera and dude doing the cooking. That will be great for a change.

I need to try this now. A friend of mine told me about shrimp & eggs a few years ago, I wasn't so sure about it. I'm a big fan of catfish and eggs though, so I guess I should keep an open mind about it. If The Dude likes it then it must be good! π

Would also be great with a real light drizzle of oyster sauce I Lou of soy sauce. Both have a sodium content. Always loved Cantonese style scramble.
