Three great dishes to try. I use my rice cooker for so many different things, from rice (obviously) to porridge, soup, stews and I’ve even made a pudding in it. Can’t wait to do a biryani! I typically rinse my rice first, but it didn’t look like your rice was rinsed. Can you clarify for us please 🙏
idk if id make chicken in a rice cooker. maybe instant but not in something meant for just rice.

Does it make a difference if we wash the rice first when we do the one pot method?
We always was the rice before we cook it by it self. So if we don't wash it, I assume the rice is much wetter and starchier?

Marion I have made these dishes using the cast iron pots like yours however I started them on the stovetop and then did them in the oven and you minimise the risk of burning.

Marion please try cooking stewing hens in a rice cooker. It takes me about 8 hours to get an old hen tenderish. Most flavorful chicken dishes ever and luscious texture .
