Made this for the umpteenth time. This time I roasted a pork tenderloin then made the gravy in the pan while the meat rested. Sliced and put back in. Mmmmmmmmmm. Thank you so much for this delicious recipe!

I've been vegan for centuries which has never stopped me on occasion eating or making really great simple food well prepared involving meat etc. remembered from my childhood. Flexitarian? All those words! This was a great recipe; I made it for me and a friend over for lunch mushrooms on hand were shitake it all worked out and what is more classic than potato salad and wilted collard greens? Tx for your great practical ideas!!!!

Hey Dave I don’t know if you can get them in your country but here in England we have knorr stock cubes and they do a ham flavour and it goes really well with pork. If you can get them give them a try x

I made this last night & it was pretty good…especially the mushroom gravy…I think I cooked the pork chops a bit too much as they were tough…beware…don't make mistake of cooking too long…

Making this tonight, but in the electric skillet, simmered in mushroom soup with added garlic and beef broth, plus a shake or two of seasoned salt due to the unsalted mushroom soup that my wife bought.
Just sampled it, and it is going to be good! Currently simmering away happily!

Started preparing this and realised I had no mushrooms – not to worry though, a tin of low sodium chunky mushroom soup was a reasonable substitute , just add a little water washed around the inside of the tin instead of broth, although you could add that as well I suppose. Super tasty. Love pork chops cooked in butter. Thanks for the recipe and inspiration for a quick dinner.

HELP for my particular case please. I would like to know the amount of heat this is cooking like on an high or medium fire. My hob is electric, heat ranging from 1 to 9…cooked it on 7 for searing and on 5 for the sauce. I did this, flavors were spot on however I am always concerned of pork being properly, evenly cooked. When I put the pork back on the sauce I timed it for the "suggested" minutes but I ended doing the chops for 6 minutes on each side…still when I ate them the edge was a bit chewy( spongy) and the center a bit firmer -dont have, can't buy a meat thermometer. MANY THANKS
