Those poison bottles are worth a lot of money. Sold one recently at the antique mall I’m in for $300!! That oatmeal looks delicious. I usually put brown sugar in mine instead of honey.

My momma made me the best oatmeal as a child. I eat it that way now. She put evaporated milk in it, some butter, salt, and sugar. Makes my mouth water and my eyes. I miss my momma so much. She did everything with love. Love you Mrs. Brenda. ♥️ I’m gonna start adding in some raisins and pecans!

Oatmeal looks good! Your rocker sound is good for rocking babies! The only problem is that sometimes when you stop rocking and the noise stops the baby will wake up.😆

The poison bottles. We have one my husband found when he worked for the Texas dept. of public trans. It was found when the y were digging up the land to build the I27 highway! It is blue and says THE OWL DRUGSTORE on one side and poison on the other side in raised design and letters. You have quite a collection! ❤️

I’ve always loved oatmeal! I like evaporated milk, sugar, butter, raisins or fruit in it. When I was little, I had a much older (18 yrs.older) sister who would make me oatmeal whenever i was sad or upset. Many years later, after my husband passed away, she sent me a huge container of instant oatmeal packets. Neither she nor I ever made instant oatmeal, but it didn’t matter, it was her way of sending me comfort and love. She has now passed away, too, and I cannot have oatmeal without thinking of her and how kind and loving she was to a little sister.

Mom cooked oatmeal for breakfast when we were growing up. I cook it a lot, so I decided to try steel cut oats a few months ago. It is delicious with walnuts and cranberries cooked in it. While it cooks, I put butter, brown sugar, cut up fresh fruit in the bowl and pour the hot oatmeal over it and pour a little whole milk on it at the table. Yum! I think we’ll have to have some in the morning. Thank you, Ms Brenda.

I which oatmeal likes me because I enjoy a warm bowl every now and then. But it makes me so bloated for two days I can hardly breath or move. Most of my family have the same problem. This weekend I put it in the blender to cut it up in smaller pieces one minute and five both give the same problem. I would even cook the one minute for 5-7 minutes and the five minutes for 10 to 15 minutes on low medium temperature but within an hour pressure is up, gas and bloating and I am down for the day.
