It's lovely here in Kingston ON Canada. All the trees have unfurled, the lilacs are in bloom and the ice has receded from Lake Ontario. Kayaking soon!! Love watching your recipe method. Never had a mother to teach me to home style cook. You are a gem. Thank you for your time.

We can't hear lawnmowers, dogs barking or general outdoor noise, not much at all. Your voices are clear over any other sounds, except the hand mixer. If you don't mind me asking Calvin, how big was your family? My husband Elwood were seven kids, 2 parents and Grandpa. That soup looks velvety good. What would we do without the potato! Take Care, Deb

Potato soup is my favorite soup especially with cheese in it and sometimes I add bacon too. It's good comfort food and warms the bones. Looks good Marie. I remember having pinto beans and cornbread lots of time too when I was growing up.. there was 6 kids and Momma and Daddy. My parents made cornbread from scratch in a cast iron skillet. I made some pinto beans not long ago. I was wanting some and they turned out so good.
