Well, truthfully I have never liked green bean casserole either. I like most everything. But with all the thanksgiving sides out there I can find something I really like.
I can't really stand green bean casserole either, but I'll give this a shot. Now, I've been doing that same size turkey breast for years. I use my 27 year old round crockpot and just and envelope of dry onion soup. I guess try a round one. Thinking it's a "tighter" fit. And that pumpkin cake…well I just packed on some "extra" ❤😉
PS: just about like you, I've got 3 slow cookers, and they are a staple in my kitchen. I cannot survive without them 😊

I was wondering how old you crock pot is? My last one I just replaced it was like fifteen years old I just purchased a new one a 7qt oval but I can’t believe how light weight the base is!! It like thin metal and air the outside you can push in on. My old one had a solid metal base. This new one also gets hot on the outside of the base. Wondering if this is normal and is this how the new ones are?

Mel , Enjoy watching your videos. All the recipes.You made in this video. I will try. Now I personally like the regular green bean casserole. But the rest of my family doesn't. So making with the cheese soup. Is a great idea. That's what I am going to do this year. When I go to my daughter's house. For Thanksgiving . That lava cake. Maybe I'll make that too . But 1st I need some more different size cock pots lol. Thrift store here I come. LOL
Oh Mel, I made two different size turkeys in my instant pot last year. The breast like yours in my 6qt and a bigger breast like a 7.5Lb in my 8qt. Both turned out FANTASTICLY!! I found Six Sister's Stuff and a few others on Pinterest and wow, never thought it could be done but it was.
Your crockpot Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes look out of this world and well the green bean cheese casserole looked great as well as the dessert 😋😀
Did you use shredded cheese in the bag or shredded yours from a block?
