I looked aside them up on Amazon and it really is a good price for what you get especially for making homemade ice cream versus what you pay for the store however it only comes to 3 pints there’s five of us in the house and I didn’t see anywhere that you can order extra pints

James, great video. My kitchen is at wife- homeostasis, so I would have to trade out another gadget to maintain balance and harmony. Not something I would do for a single function machine.

Am I the only one who noticed his heavy cream looked a lot like sour cream in the first ice cream recipe? I have never seen heavy cream that look that thick… maybe somebody else mentioned it I didn’t read all the comments..

Pro Chef here…it's basically a "housewife" version of the "Pacojet" we have been using since the late '90s in professional kitchens worldwide. The working principle is the same, but as you can guess, the sturdiness of the rotating parts is what matters, and from what I can see all that plastic will not last long. We use steel containers and yet, breakdowns still occur sometimes.

Can be used for salty preparations as well, like patès, aromatic kinds of butter, and such.

Seem a bit overkill for the "average joe" but in expert hands could give great results.

    Would I buy it? Nope.

While this seems to work well, I like churned ice cream that freezes as it’s being turned. This machine reminds me of the F’Real machine down at the quick store down the street. You buy the frozen cup, tell it whether you like your milkshake or smoothie thicker or less thick and press start. A couple minutes later, you have a milkshake.

I feel like you can just use their ninja chef blender to do this since you can already make ice cream in it so too me this is just an extra gadget to have with one specific purpose that’s gonna get used once and never again

I put cream in the freezer for 24 hours and it was really hard, after trying it, the cream came out like powder. I thought after it started to cool it would be better but no it was still powder with water underneath. So it looks like you are getting the same results, maybe the mix-in was warm enough to melt the cream. Dam – I should have read the manual. I'm trying my mini-frig which should not get as cold.

Reminds me of these frozen fruit things they used to have at the gas station I lived by. You put a frozen cup of fruit and juice in the machine it ground it all up into a frozen yogurt consistency was awesome. This looks just like it with the pineapple. Sadly it was super expensive and they only had for a year or so
