Oh my Goodness!!! Winner, winner, chicken dinner!!!! I Can’t believe that I made this whole 5.5lb chicken and it took about 1/2 an hour!! I told my hubby tonight that I am getting rid of my 5.3 qt air fryer…I will only be making whole chickens in my Foodi from now on!! I pressure cooked it on high with a cup of chicken broth for 20 mins. (it probably only needed 15, but because the chicken was so big I added another 5 mins to the time) Then I switched the lid and air fried it for 15 mins@ 400 degrees. I then removed the chicken and basket and made the gravy in the same pot!!! Woohoo!!

I love how your dog shows up when the chicken was done pressure cooking and again after crisping.
How long would you do it for, if it was frozen?
So, just curious… Why did you pat it dry before you pressure cooked it?
Good video & I like the fact that you get right to it without talking for ages. I'd have loved to have seen how it looks inside. New subscriber.
I do like my chicken extra cooked. Not cooked burned. But this way. Don’t care of the looks. It’s going to gets dismantled like no ones business anyway. I’m going to try this my next chicken. Thanks.
To check if it's REALLY done, check the temperature BEFORE you remove it from the NF. It should read 165F. Just because it's crispy and looks done doesn't mean it is.
you did a great job . you need a nu-wave oven so you can do frozen stuff . be sure to get the extra ring . you can cook turkey and ham in half the time of a regular oven . nu-wave cooks half on one side half on the other . once you learn it . easy to use
I first thought it was a great idea til I saw it was $190. All I see people cooking is chicken. I can buy rotisserie chicken at Walmart or any grocery store for like $4.50 cooked and a raw chicken is $6 – $9 and I have to cook it. No deal I'll buy a gravy packet for $1.
What size is this ninja foodi?????? That kinda matters
I have just bought one have not used it yey was just trying to see what to do.. Thanks
Loved your videos! Would you be able to tell us in six months if the Ninja Foodi is still cooking well and again in year, and you're still satisfied with it. I bought an Air fryer when they first came out and I was so disappointed that after a few months and got rid of it. I would like your opinion on the product over the long haul. Thanks!
Why pat it dry BEFORE bathing it in extra hot steam and water under high pressure for 15 minutes? Seems like it defeats the purpose.
It looks great how does it taste?
Thanks
Thanks for video. I just bought the XL model today. I wish you had sliced the chicken to see it served? But great video !
Gravy tip, for every spoon of flour use a tablespoon of butter unless u already have some in the juices. Makes thicker than starch
Great video! You have convinced ne that I need one of these. Quick tip, you made a slurry with cornstarch and water. A roux is flour and fat (butter usually) thanks again.
Question: can you put whole frozen chicken in for pressure cooking then to air crisp? If so, then how do I know how much time to use ….thank you again. I have the ninja foodi, but need help with it….lol
Can you please cut the chicken for us…..would like to see how the inside do,,,,dry or juices…..thanks
That's the thing with this stuff, no sooner than you buy it then there is something better on the market! But hey we can't wait for the "Replicators", LOL. Reen!, I love that you can pop that chicken right out and get to work on the gravy right there! That is very great! 1/2 an hour! What a time saver! Was it super yummy? Looks like it was! Much Love! XOXO 🙂
