Steph and Cloud! You’ve mentioned in some of your older videos a few “wives tales”. I put that in quotations because theres much truth in those “tales”. So the one I’m talking about has something to so with not washing your hands after peeling chiles? Not sure if I got that right, but girrrrrls….my hands have been on fire all night!!!! I made some green chile chicken tamales today, and I thought of you when my hands started burning. Also, I’ve been thinking this for a while now, but I’ve always thought you should make a video about all of those “wives tales” we have in our culture. I think it would be fun and interesting to watch. Drop some knowledge on us “pochas” that were born here ☺️.

Instead of vegetable shortening can i use lard? And would it be the same ratio?

OK the others thing is does this recipe still need the muscle to flow in the cup if it's good or no I swear I broke my KitchenAid stand mixer trying to mix it one of the recipe said mix for 15 minutes the lard then the masa for 20 minutes and I did that and my machine broke and still my masa never float 😭
Darn I just used a very popular ytbers, recipe and let's just say I was very disappointed so I will try this I know I won't be disappointed

Thank you for these ! Im stationed in Korea so my mom sent me that Maseca. I have been watching you tamale videos to get inspiration to make them. Not feeling the holidays this year but my baby girl wants tamales.
Ok if a smooth salsa is comfortable for your home why do people have to have a b@!€h fit about it to you. Time and time again you remind people to make it comfortable for their home. They can't just make it less smooth with out being critical crybabies to you about it!?

Why would anyone do your masa recipe that breaks your arm for mixing so VERY LONG
when they can use Maseca for 5 minutes?
I think the baking powder should be left out. But that is my preference
