I agree both runners are a bit weird and too long for your kitchen, I feel that they don’t go with your kitchen style. I can’t wait to make Beef Stew, it looks delicious!! I live in San Diego so we still have a lot warm days!!
I've never cooked beef stew before. My dad has always done it. its some differences in yours and his but I am going to try your recipe.
Not loving either for the space. If I had to use it for a while I would use the 1st one, ignoring the red briefly.. But no love.
I personally don’t like the runners
The kitchen runners are awful. So disappointing that they came in a different colour than you expected. They don’t suit your delicate decor.

Hi Liz. I like the lighter colored rug with no pink. Looks so good. And loved seeing the plantains in your stew 👍🏾 They are added to Haitian beef stew sometimes too. Thyme and parsley are also great additions for flavor. I swear my food tasted better when I add a bouquet garni or some pepper with cloves. A green bell pepper if you don't like spicy.

That stew looks yummy. I plan on making it as soon at the temperature is a bit cooler. For the runner rug in my opinion another color would be better. That pot looks awesome! Your new home is coming together nicely. 😊
