The Blackstone Pellet Grill Griddle Combo is here! We’ve been so excited to get this new Blackstone grill and griddle combo unit, …
Well-done video, and it looks like a great unit. There is one issue I noticed. When putting the foil on the grease tray make sure it is entirely flat. If it is not the grease will pool and you will end up with a grease fire. I only know from reviewing Recteq grills that have a similar grease tray design and that it also happened personally to my grill.
Curious if you have seen the Recteq Smokestone
Really Like your reviews, will you do the new redesigned Pro 36 Griddle too? Good look at this unit and as it settles in, to hear and see your thoughts and cooks.
Often times after cleaning the burn pot or when it's otherwise empty you can just take a partial handful of pellets to get it started. At least that's what my old smoker needed. I like the combo so that if you're cooking something that needs smoked and griddled then you're good to go. Curious how it will be useful. Look forward to future videos.
I literally just want a larger version of the blackstone tailgater. A gril/griddle combo and I’m not sure why blackstone hasn’t done that. It’s such a missed opportunity.
I will buy a recteq. Much better quality.
thanks
Nice one Neil👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻I finally found a blackstone retailer in the UK, and yes my wife bought me one for Christmas, the 36 inch flat top😁😁👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😎🏴at last, just waiting for the cover as its in my kitchen at the moment, i wont let it out until cover arrives🤣🤣the wife thinks I’ve gone mad😂, I probably have. Gonna season this week👍🏻
Can’t find the link to purchase
Lol when i got my first blackstone everyone said why a 28 you should've got the 36 so igot 36 now everyone going back to little one
Looks like it’s got some Pitboss parts on the smoker side
To expensive
good first look, but just based on what I saw I am not sure it is worth the money. Just my thoughts, not trying to make anybody mad
Excellent breakdown of the unit. Can’t wait to see what you create on it 😋
Looks very pit bossy
I went to see this at Lowe’s a few days ago, and I REALLY wanted to like it. My problem is the lack of a way to clean out the burn pot. My camp chef is easy to clean out, but it is getting long in the tooth, so I’m looking for a replacement. Pit Boss Elite has something like that as well, and I’m leaning towards that one right now. I also like the PB Elite for the stainless steel grill bars. I’ll be excited to see your thoughts on this as you use it over time. (But don’t take too long…My outdoor kitchen/poolhouse/ramada will be done in about a month, and I would like to make a decision by about then 😉).
Lowes military discound FTW! We don't use it enough.
What’s the lowest and highest temp settings for the smoker?
Thanks 🙏
That would definitely be a nice rig for someone that doesn’t have much outdoor space. Curious on how the pellet grill performs. Add on more deck brother!!😂😂
My man… That pit/griddle looks amazing! Nice job man! PS, You look like you dropping a few🤣🤣🤣🤣
You are really gonna need a bigger deck……….
Looks like a nice piece. Wonder if they sell the 36" omnivore top by itself so I could replace my current griddle top.
Got mad respect for a YouTube reviewer who buys the products with their own money.
I’m really into smart home tech and a lot of the creators I follow get truck loads of free stuff in addition to paid promos all the time. They make tons of content showing off their free stuff. It feels like a huge disconnect despite the obligatory “but my opinions are my own” statement.
It’s refreshing to see someone who makes content that is beneficial to me who has their own skin in the game.
I'd be a little concerned with that digital readout and the probe holes being at an angle like that. It feels like it could get more rain damage if not under cover than a normal one where it sits flat. Also, most of the time where I am checking temps, I'm doing it from inside, so that upward angle is really only good when I am setting it up or at the smoker. Overall, I think I would rather have the two separate as you mention at the end of your video because the smoker seems the correct size for most people, but the griddle seems a bit on the small side. Would have rather seen a 28".
Looking good Neil and Amy! Gonna like seeing it filled with food. Fred.
I’m just going to say it, been thinking it. There’s a lot of features that I think they got from Pit boss. 1. The rolling back hood, same as the competition series, 2. the diamond shaped grates, 3. The control board is exactly the same as the Pro series 2, 4. The pellet dump is in the same spot as pit boss. Just things I’ve seen watching this is all, that stood out to me
I'm a long time PitBoss user. I have a P settings timing chart that will help dial it into within +- 3° tolerance if you find the need let me know. Get it just as accurate as the Savana Stoker controllers. Edited to say I must be more baked then I thought. You've got a blackstone there not a pitboss. Doh!
VERY excited about BlackStones new offerings! – Cheers!
Neal… This video really surprised me. I watched one of Crazy Pop's videos on this same unit and yours is the second one I have watched. What surprised me the most is I have not seen one out of Todd Toven yet, usually anything new from Blackstone he is the first to preview them.
How did you find the temp difference between the blackstone internal probe and your external chamber probe ?
That’s really cool. Hope they release the smoker as a standalone unit
Nice concept but id prefer individual appliances! The combo feature wont make the food taste better!
Hi you two. My wife and I were married in Gatlinburg in 2015. I love your part of the country. We’re from Wisconsin. I love watching and learning from your channels. Keep it going!
First off that sweatshirt is frickn DOPE 💪🏼🫵🏻😉!!!
2nd, Nice looking addition to the arsenal Brotha ✊🏼🧐! I’m curious to see what she can do. I’ve been flirting with the notion of getting a pellet smoker to complement my Blackstone 4 burner. I think it’s kool that they came out with a combo. Can’t wait for the first cook you got brewing. Cheers y’all 👊🏼😎🤙🏼
Pondering this or the Rectec dualfire..I was wondering if I needed a griddle outside as my range top has griddle in the middle of it and will be literally r12 ft away in the house! I just like you have everything right there!
I went to Harbor Freight bought a smallish shop vac specifically for cleaning out my pellet grill…it fits on the shelf below the grill… Just a thought…
Where is this made at?
Smoke some wings then crisp them up on the griddle.
Assembling grills is the worst! I love making Ace Hardware build it for me and drop it off.
Neal, with that top rail smoke vent – I’d look into dampering that with a line of aluminum foil if you could make it work. Without seeing the inside and how that setup is, if you reduced the amount of smoke that escapes you could reasonably maintain a better temperature consistency and keep your smoke from following the thermal exhaust and exiting the cook chamber. I did that with my Even Embers (yes I know it’s a cheapo, but it’s my first pellet smoker and I’m doing quite ok with it) and it made the world of difference with both of those issues. Smoke on, buddy!!!
