I just found you and I love your videos. I love how the little one faints when there is good food 😂😂😂

I didn’t know up until recently that the reason we are supposed to wash rice is because rice readily absorbs arsenic from the ground soil and some studies have shown washing/rinsing rice can reduce the arsenic levels over 50%. Just a tid bit of info I learned! No judgment at all from my side of the internet 💜

Thanks for putting this together – knowing these tricks is so useful amd the food looks good. I do wash my rice but I usually get the rice in cloth bags from india/china (cheaper in my area), and that tends to be a lot dustier/starchier than the plastic bags from regular grocery stores. One of the cheap things I do with leftover rice for breakfast is just heat it up in a little butter in a frying pan, crack in a few eggs and scramble them with the rice and a little hit of soy sauce. It's pretty good 🙂
As an aside, I wish I'd known about your channel few years ago when my life hit a wall and I had almost no funds for food. Thankfully I had no kids to worry about, and I kept my cat well fed, but the stress really shut down my brain and I couldn't think straight so I wound up going hungry a lot, which added to the cycle of stress and general misery. I also really appreciate you saying how no one should be hungry and to ask for help. You're 💯 on that – and I second it and say to anyone in that situation to keep asking until you get the help you need. I wish I'd asked for an organization or charity to help out – but I made the mistake of asking my mom (she has loads of money and a huge food storage), but she wouldn't help because it wasnt her problem and my stressed and depressed brain figured if my mom didn't think I was worth helping nobody else would. That was such flawed thinking and it made my life way worse than it had to be – so if you're reading this and ever in a situation where you can't afford food don't take one refusal to mean everyone is going to do the same. There are good people and caring organizations who will help, and if you're short on food you deserve that help – no one should go hungry – esp not in some of the richest countries on earth.

I think you are such an amazing inspiration to mom's and, I'm sure grandma's on tight budgets, which is most of us today. Quick, easy, tasty meals, and feeding 3 young men and a husband is no easy feat. By the way, your boys seem like real sweet hearts. What do you do to keep them so quiet when you're doing a video?
