Ada Indonesia coyy?!😱😱🇮🇩
The tempeh mendoan you had seem a bit thicker than the usual tempeh mendoan we usualy had here in Indonesia. And it looks like the soda you use for happy soda is the sweet one instead of the plain soda, that why it taste too sweet for you, we usually just use plain soda and the sweetness you only get it from the condensed milk.
what a new refreshing description for tape; BOOZIEST DESSERT XDD I laughed so hard ahaha thank you Beryl for another amazing video!
I was going to complain a little bit about the Gado-gado (it is supposed to be plain like that 😆 and more peanut sauce!!), but then I am very grateful that you are bringing lights into Indonesian cuisine!
Lots of love from Indonesia❤
I love that you tried rendang! But I have to say, the rendang you ordered looks a bit pale & too saucy. Also, it's traditionally served with plain white rice, boiled cassava leaves (which may be hard to find in the US), a specific kind of boiled & fried green chili sambal that tastes a little bit sour and typically not too spicy, and different Padang-style curry sauces and extra protein of your preference. Hope you try it from a restaurant that prepares Padang cuisine exclusively next time, or better yet, in Indonesia! The way it's typically served is you've got a table full of different dishes, and you only pay for what you eat. I don't know how they know, but they always know. It's a magical experience!
Oh and I see you love the bakso, but also next time you gotta try it with the broth scalding hot for that extra flavor meld & to cook the noodles further (they're usually parboiled). Typical toppings include chopped up leaf celery and fried shallots. Purists love it as is, but usually on the table there's sweet soy sauce (Bango is the BEST), a thick sour chili-ish sauce, sambal (typically green), pickles made of cucumbers, and some white vinegar. If you like Southern-style sweet iced tea, you'd love Teh Botol Sosro on ice. It's probably the #1 sweet tea in Indonesia, and it's got a hint of jasmine. People love it with their bakso. I like a lot of ice in mine though because it is quite sweet.
the slight boozy feel and aftertaste is came from the fermentation itself, I can guarantee it's alcohol-free.
tape uli dijual ga ada yg beli
I love your channel & have followed for quite a while but my misophonia cannot take the noises that stem from chewing with your mouth open lately….🙉🙈
Vegan would be happy child if they know how much vegan dish on the menu.
Next, sambal indonesian, u taste all the sambal of indonesian and eat it with krupuk (cracker)
Try oncom beryl.
Believe it or not, tape singkong is one of the food that we serve in Idul Fitri (eventhough there is a taste of alcohol). Sorry for my bad english
tape singkong indeed safe to eat by children. cause i like to eat that since many many years ago when i'm still a child. there are some type of tape. first tape singkong (cassava one) and tape ketan (the one made with sticky rice). the texture and the taste definitely different. but they share the same content, low percentage alchohol. once i tried to extract the water from tape, and let it sit for 2 days in room temperature, and it become undistiled booze (and yes it taste good).
Meatballception for Baso Beranak.
Soda Gembira you can use red fanta, condensed milk, and ice. Simple but make happy.
Beryl that’s not how you eat Gado-gado, that’s why you felt it plain. You gotta pour whole peanut sauce on top of it with mixing it of sweet sauce based on your preference.
Tape bakar. . Yeah the way we get boozed and still can say that we're sober. .
gado gado isnt something plain if you drench all of those peanut sauce and cover all of those ingredients, thats why its called gado gadoo, if you just drizzle it, it would affect the taste so much
@berryl just FYI about that tape or fermented casava, actually when you make that fermented casava, there will be alot liquid coming out of the fermentation (even though you not put any liquid in it since the beginning), and the most of alcohol are in the liquid not in the casava, and also the fermentation isnt that long to make alot of alcohol in it, so if the maker is doing good job, it will not contain any alcohol at all, so it safe for children, but you can make some booz out of the fermented casava liquid, just ferment the liquid on the separate place a little longer.
I wonder if you could order a bannock burger in NYC.
Indonesian Be Like: ADA INDONESIANYA COY 🗿
