Okra is not completely cooked, it's still green…and okra tastes better with onions…and it can't be true indian kitchen unless you put spoonful of ghee in everything

for chana dal specially its really important to add some grated ginger and a couple of pinches of Hing. Chana can give a lot of "bloating" by itself. adding ginger, garlic, hing will help reduce it. for bhindi the trick is to wash, pat dry and dry roast it for a few mins on a tawa. this will ensure there is no sliminess in it. roasting also maintains the green color very well. slit Okra lengthwise, sprinkle with some salt pepper and herbs and bake it for 20 mins on 300. Delicious and healthy finger food.
One thing you need to take while you choop okra is that their are worms inside
