Hey Amy, my husband is half Japanese. He and my kids are "rice snobs" lol. They only enjoy Calrose rice. It has a slightly sweeter flavor that regular white rice does not offer. It is the best rice to have if you are not going to be adding a bunch of flavors to it. If we have to use a different rice, I put a little sugar in the rice cooker with the water to help make the difference in flavor. I tried buying other rice once when it was on sale and ended up having to give it to another family as no one here was happy with it.

You can try the calrose, it is generally similarly priced to other rices but tastier. Just be ware that they may turn into "rice snobs" like mine 🙂 It's right up there with their requirement for Kikkoman soy sauce.

Keep being the incredible inspiration that you are. I'm excited to go make homemade bread for the first time in over a decade and my husband is super excited that you gave me the encouragement to get back in the kitchen and not be overwhelmed. Thanks

My mom would make sweet treats and buy candy for everyone to share, then each child would get a bag with favorite snack and a new shirt that would be hidden for us to find.

what I have done is my kids get their Bibles( new ones depending on the ages) and then different Bible studies later years and maybe Christian Movies. we love the resurrection eggs. This year is a tough one but they are adults and i have an adult with autism who mentally is 12 so he loves all the Easter celebration things we observe. Prayers, movies, resurrection eggs, and different coloring pages. As long as we praise God its a good day.

Amy next year think about getting the salt system to use with your sand filter, I promise you won’t regret it. We love it and yes we have the same pool as you and it’s fine. We havemnt looked back on the change. It’s cheaper, no chemicals hardly ever. It’s great.

Hi Amy, Just wanted to let you know, when your pool is green you should run the filter around the clock. You may have to backwash filter and make sure you empty your skimmer.

I love your egg idea! Your pool looks great. This will be our second year having an above ground pool and there is definitely a learning curve. Can you share a link to the little filter that hooks on the edge?

We don't do Easter either, but our reason are different. Yes, we are Christians. Unfortunately we get a lot of hate for not celebrating Easter. Anyway all I'm saying is don't let anyone shame you for not celebrating Easter the way they do.

You can buy something called flock and it'll drop all of that cloudiness and particles to the bottom and then you can manually vacuum it and it'll be perfectly clear we do it at the beginning of the pool season almost every year ps when you're manually vacuuming it you have to run the filter to backwash periodically

My kids are 10 and 13, so this year we did small gift bags with a small gift and a couple pieces if candy. They were more happy with that then the huge baskets.
I always enjoy listening to your food ideas for the month. I have even tried a few of the things you've made…Flat bread tacos, the gnocchi soup, the broccoli soup, and rice, veggie bowls.

Good morning. What fun putting Easter eggs in the park for some children to find them. I am sorry that Brooklyn and yourself getting a taste of pain. Having chronic pain for last 44 years and it is not fun. My hero, my daughter, has had chronic pain since she was 18mo. Give yourself some grace and rest is all you can do and if it is a bad day, I hope tomorrow is a better one. Have a blessed, fantastic "hump" day and I will see ya tomorrow

We have 2 girls that are now grown. When they were small they got a chocolate bunny in their baskets and then an outfit for summer, books, bubbles. When they were teens it was favorite bath and body stuff😊. I did my menu for the month while you were working on yours.🥦🥩
