I do NOT really agree with this, it's okay it's your style of parenting but that does NOT mean other styles of parenting are wrong or traumatic, some children adapt to other style of parenting too & it is sad that we have created such a weirdly sensitive world that Almost Everyone in the world now sees themselves to be a victim of some or the mental or emotional trauma & it has become a Trend rather than actual problem. This Generation is Over Privileged.
My mom use to force feed us. Especially my younger sister. She has a horrible relationship with food and still refuses to eat a lot of veggies and other basic dishes even soup smh
Im on the spectrum so food textures and smells was super overwhelming as a kid. Im still a picky eater, but am moving at my own pace to incorporate more foods into my life!
I have been a picky eater my whole life and when I was little my stepmom would make me eat food, she even shoved food in my mouth before and made me swallow it. That’s amazing that she has a mom who gives her a safe environment and is aware of her daughters feelings
I had to sit at the table and couldn’t have anything to drink until I finished my food. I get not wanting kids to fill up on juice, but that was pure torture!
While yes it is completely correct. Most parents don't have the time nor patience to take their time of the day to search about different and new foods or make them. Mine for example, made the same food because ot was convenient. If i didn't like her food them i was told to make my own. I wasn't necessarily a picky eater but that experience just left me hungry and annoyed

My brother was forced to eat a grape and he threw up. He won’t even eat a sandwich if tomatoes are on it even if you take them off
Im not a parent but a partner to a picky eater its difficult
Being a picky eater isn’t even a choice. It’s what your tongue desires. So parents saying to cut your habit should be learning this.
My motha used to say "If it doesn't enter up, it will down mf now eat" the plates were clean at the end of the meal. We love her

I wish we could change the "picky eater" term. It has come to a negative connotation. Let people try foods at their own pace.

Not everyone has the luxury to introduce or reintroduce food. Having 2 times meal a day itself is a big deal.

I had a picky eater. She ate certain things but grew properly and is now a great cook.
Some people really things understanding your kids is equal to spoiling them… I'm really lucky to have understanding parents.. ❤
