I'm thinking of getting an instant pot duo pro crisp (multi cooker + sous vide + air fryer). I was wondering if the shaking part is really that important, as the air fryer attachment for that machine is on the top and i dont see any handle

My Mother was a professional cook who trained in the UK during WW2. (Chickens were not mass produced so this may not work nowadays. She would save the chicken fat can't remember if the chickens were roasted or boiled )I was born in 1950 and in my childhood she collected the fat to use in cakes they were superb.

My oven conked out a few years ago and I switched to my toaster oven. But then I discovered air fryer heaven! I have one that is mini oven style but it has the rotisserie with a basket attachment and a basket that I can shake and 4 different racks! And other attachments that I can’t think of right now! They all came with the air fried “oven” when I bought it! I can do everything you are showing plus a full rotisserie chicken (my personal favorite) and so much more! Plus I can cook 2 (sometimes 3) different dishes at the same time! Of corse they have to cook at about the same temp but with a little adjustment on cooking times it has been working out great! If I were asked I would say get 1 of the medium size basket style and one oven style with the extras and you will make your family of 4-5 very happy eaters! And healthier too with less oil in their diet!
I really like your videos and can’t say thank you enough! I’ve learned a lot from your insights!

Regarding #7 My teens burn themselves every time they use the oven. So I bought the air fryer for them and honestly believe it will be the standard for cooking for their generation.

Before I bought one, I totally saw most of the advantages you presented. The part that you kinda glossed over, which is the reason I don’t use it as much as I’d like is cleaning. Watching you “clean” your air fryer basket, i see that you don’t really do that. I have a really similar Cosori model with the same basket. If I run a fingernail along the fins on the side of the basket or in the corners, there is a thick layer of goop that I always feel I have to clean. It looks like you completely ignore all of this. Do you just treat it like an outside grill and allow this stuff to build up? Is it safe to keep reheating this stuff over and over at high temperatures indoors? I spend so much time trying to clean that basket that it defeats the purpose of using it in the first place. Would really welcome feedback regarding cleaning, or the safety of reheating this thick layer of grease buildup indoors over and over at high temps. Thx!

I use my air fryer just about every day. It's just me and my spouse so it just makes sense. Faster, delicious, less energy usage, and easy to clean!

I have never used an air frier yet. I have had to change my whole way of eating with food allergies. I use a toaster over all the time. I have been looking at the air frier for a long time.
