Quick question. If you're making pizza and you keep the cheese constancy in it's shredded form without melting it down – will it still melt evenly on the pizza? Why the extra work? (I'm a new vegan) Thanks.

Thanks so very much….I can finally do a vegan version of little Cesar's soft pretzel crust pizza with mushroom……and I can make grilled cheese sandwiches with Aldi's vegan cheese ….I can melt it down first…off course add some smoked paprika to it … Thanks so very much!

Thanks for the tip but I found that a little water worked best for me as unsweeten Almond milk and unsweetened soy milk both changed the flavor of the cheese. It gave it a "marshmallow" taste that unsweetened/unflavored store-bought milk has.

I was skeptical, but I gave it a try. I definitely am glad I did. The picture of my pizza looked so much better using this technique, and I recommend it. I did it using water instead of milk though.

I’m sort of obsessed with making different kinds of vegan cheeses. Every once in a while I’ll need to clean out my fridge so I round up a bunch of leftovers and use your hack to combine them for pizza. It’s so simple but so effective! Thanks so much for posting this.
