Hi. Did you empty the water in pot after pressure cooking and before starting the CrispLid? I really believe until that water is either burned-off or emptied, the skins will be delayed in crisping. Nice video!

Isn't the point NOT to use oil? I mean why use an airfryer if you are going to use oil? I really wish you had done the demo without it, as I think that is really why people are using an air fryer in the first place.

Thanks for the video! I loved the idea plus all the accessories, but unfortunately the basket is just too small (7" across the bottom) so I'm returning it. To do as many crisp fries as they showed in their video on Amazon, it would have taken 3 times at 20 minutes. Very creative idea however!

THANK YOU!!! I purchased one of these through your Amazon link several weeks back & I'm LOVING IT!!! I live alone plus have a bad back & I find it too much trouble to heat up the oven plus the bending over kills the back. I was considering the Foodi but it was way too expensive!!! The Mealthy didn't break the bank & it works wonderfully!!! I can do BBQ Ribs in my IP & then brown them with the Mealthy & they taste better than being out in the heat while using the grill plus 100 times more tender!!! I do my baked potatoes in my IP & then add a little salt to the skin, pop on the CrispLid & I have a steakhouse baked potato!!! Yesterday I was craving a biscuit. I make them & freeze them in advance for when I really want one. They cooked close to perfect. I just had to lower the temperature just a little & they cooked faster than in the oven. I'm still experimenting with things I love to eat. Next I'll try the recipes that came with the unit!!! THANKS AGAIN!!!

Shouldn't Instant Pot have made this item?

If you used the sear function of the Instant Pot together with the crisping lid, you'd have over and under cooking, much like the Delonghi Multifry.

I think the crisping lid should come with a stand for the lid.

It's only a matter of time until someone make a glass bowl for the crisping lid, to turn it into a stand alone airfryer.

Thank you for the Amazon link!!! I just purchased one today & it should arrive no later than Wednesday. I sure am glad that I procrastinated on the Foodi as $49 is a whole lot better than $199!!!I'm looking forward to making a delicious Pork Tenderloin before the week is through!!!

I thought about buying this. But I found a used (but like new) air fryer on Ebay for $50, so Much Cheaper. But of course if you have a small kitchen, you need to save space, and I can see the attraction of this crisp lid.

Was there a reason you didn’t dry out the pot before using the air fryer lid? It seems it would shorten the crisping time. Super interesting accessory! I never heard of it until I found this video a few minutes ago. Good review!

Try pressing the button with the square on it to see if that pauses the machine. That would seem to be safer than hoping the handle doesn't get pressed down while you have the lid sitting anywhere besides on the pot.

Indigo, Wlil you please measure the height of that metal 3 legged trivet and tell me how tall it is. I have been searching for just that particular one and cannot find one. Thank you kindly. 😊

Hello there! TY for sharing this CrispLid by Mealthy! I heard about this. Someone had asked in social medias if she can use CrispLid on her other Pressure Cooker I think she has the Instant Pot. The answer is yes ecept not for the 3 qt pressure cookers.

I have had my Cosori a week and I am glad I have it. That lid you just demontrated is way more work, than having a whole other appliance. I have never precooked potatoes to do in an air fryer, and the Cosori cooks fast and even. I ordered the accessories for the air fryer, but they are for the 3qt, and I have the 5.8qt. So the pot and eggie mold are too small. Fortunately I have the eggy mold that fits my Instant Pot, so that part is not an issue. I really appreciate your reviews, and purchased both the IP and Air fryer after watching your videos. Thank you.

I kept on thinking on getting a instant pot or a ninja foodi, but the size and weird lid setup on the ninja are not what I'm looking for. So happy I found your video, great option and less expensive too.

Love my CrispLid, been using it for a few weeks, am so glad I bought it, wanted to replace my old small air fryer but didn't have room for anything big, this is perfect, fits my Instant Pot 6qt, doesn't take up much storage space when not in use. Love it.

Just watched mealthy’s how to video. The trivet is for the lid and the cute little tongs fit in the basket handle for safely taking out while hot. They thought of everything. 😉

Of course you told us before end of video. I was too excited. 😉

THANK you so much for this video! I was just about to order an Airfryer, but just seen this in the nick of time, and decided to get this instead. Had I not seen your video, I would not have known about this. I clicked your link and ordered it. I have an Instant Pot which I LOVE so much, and now, I will have the best of both worlds.
I do not know what I'd do if my Instant Pot ever conked out, cause I use it almost every day. THANK you!
