cheese is great on chili, but I love dipping corn chips or tortilla chips into chili as well, as a substitute for the crackers I usually have with soups or stews. It adds a little bit of saltiness, which I think goes great with the acid from the tomato base
We eat ours on top of white rice with grated cheddar cheese on top. ๐คค so delicious!

If you like cheese on chili, you should try Cincinnati Chili. Growing up in Ohio, my mom used to just put leftover Chili Con Carne on spaghetti and top it with cheese as well.
I will definitely try some of these recipes, they look scrumptious and relatively cheap to make.

Hey Cheryl, in addition to chili with cheese, some folk like to add sour cream (or plain yogurt), guacamole, or even tortilla chips. Makes it extra delicious! ๐
Your cheeseburger Macaroni remind me of my mothers American goulash she made when we where growing up. It's does not look horrendous and it tastes Yum.
hello from South Texas, I'm Hispanic so chili con carne is pretty common here that we all grow up with. I've never had it with rice (and ive never put corn in my mexican rice), but generally we put cheese , sour cream and onions on top. I serve mine with some homemade cornbread OR we make Frito Pie: get some Fritos, put in a bowl, pour chili on top, and then add the above toppings! Mmmm it finally got cold 2 days ago so I think I'll make some this week =) hugs from San Antonio.
*some people like to add chili to their hamburgers but I think it makes it way too messy.

Always love your addition of the puff pastry to the top of your stews/pies, etc. Thought I would get some premade puff pastry like you do. My supermarket was selling it for almost 9 US Dollars a package ( 7.63 in British Pound Sterling!!). The food prices in the USA are so outrageous. Needless to say, I didn't buy the pastry!

My mashed Swede gets pepper, butter, salt and lots of nutmeg, then some more nutmeg. Next time, I may try some chopped crystalised ginger in addition to the above. Maybe a bit of brown sugar?

Extra sharp cheddar cheese always goes on my regular chili and Cincinnati chili.
I usually top chili with a spoonful of sour cream, diced red onions and shredded cheese. The sour cream tames the heat a wee bit when itโs particularly spicy.๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ๐บ๐ธ
I love extra sharp cheddar on top of chili con carne, along with corn tortillas or tortilla chips.
Oh and with our chili dishes, we top ours with Fritos (thin Crispy corn chips) delicious!!!
