You mentioned a couple times that your crock pot was not not working as well as you expected it to and I'm wondering if if it's time for a new one. I know if I have mine on high for a couple hours or even on low I have lots of heat and condensation at that point. Just a thought.

I wondered about the bean stew. Thanks for sharing the losses along with the wins. I would think regular pinto beans might work better. But I could make a meal on a loaf of that bread!

The ham & bean stew looked and mostly sounded good, though I did wonder about the baked beans. 😊 Maybe just plain navy or red beans? The mustard/Italian dressing pork caught my attention, too. Will give both a try!

I have never cooked a pork roast, I was surprised there was such a thick layer of fat that you cut off, but it did look delicious when you were serving it! Great recipes and meals!!

I have been pleasantly surprised at how meaty the soup bones have been when we get a half cow. I like to use them to make shredded beef tacos. Too bad about the ham and bean soup. Thanks for sharing a week's worth of meals. It all look really tasty!

Thanks for your motherly wisdom! I'm 7 years into our marriage and I'm definitely still learning in the kitchen. We got out first cow spring 2020 and I wanted the bone because I thought I'd make bone broth but that vegetable beef soup looked sooo yummy! Definitely trying that this week or weekend.

I usually buy a pork loin vs a pork roast, put it in the crock pot with two tablespoons of liquid smoke, a can of Campbell's French onion poured over the top and a half can of water. I let it cook all day and it is wonderful. We will eat it just the way it sits or shred it and add some sweet baby rays BBQ sauce and eat it in buns. Love my crock pot and instant pot too!

Hi Jennifer, just popped the zucchini and cranberry loaves into the oven from your cookbook. First time trying, and loved watching your video while they baked.( should have been cleaning up the kitchen, but as you say" it will happen" !). Lots of love from your friend in Australia xxx

Everything looked delicious and perfect for fall.
I wonder if some chicken bullion would have given the ham and bean soup a bit more flavor. Also, I questioned the pork you were using. I use that roast for pulled pork. A pork loin or tenderloin might work better.
