This reminds me of when I worked on a psychiatric unit. The kitchen would send up 'a cake' for the patient's birthday. It was the square Pepperidge Farms frozen cake but in an unlabeled blank white box. I opened the box and it was a sad, plain white cake with white icing. Sometimes it was sent upside down and if you didn't check it right away the icing would defrost onto the lid and you'd have a bald cake. I felt so bad I started keeping a shaker bottle of sprinkles in my desk to shake on the cakes. Its bad enough to be in a psych unit on your birthday but getting a blank cake is not cool.
In 1976 my mother held a birthday party for me at a local McDonald's. I was shocked she could afford the cake. It was in the shape of Ronald, with massive amounts of bright red frosting. Tasted like sugar on crack. It was gross.

They still do birthday parties for like $89. It comes with the cake, happy meals for the kids, and a reserved table. Itโs on their website
Iโm 44. When I was younger we actually had birthday parties at McDonaldโs!!!! Lol I believe you get a cake free if you had a party there.
Also itโs not actually an airbrush decoration, but a edible print that they lay out and they actually pipe happy birthday on them when they use them for parties
Yes, you can still actually have birthday parties at some McDonaldโs and you can order the cakes for the parties or bring your own cake for the party.

Go to your nearest supermarket… McKain Vanilla (its more or less the same size like the one your showing) Giiiiirl, you will go maaad! It has a white frosting that looks like white merengue. Piped flower "like" design. (Not just dull lines) with these tiny bits of chocolate on top. I sware my husband and i have to CONTROL owerselves!๐

When I worked at McDonaldโs, they had the cake in the back and I was confused and interested in it. I never asked what it was for but when one was about to expire by manager, let me have it after I requested it. It wasnโt the best tasting cake but it was cool.
It makes me wonder if pizza hut still carries their cakes too if I ask? They used to hold so many birthday parties there when I was a kid.

I had one birthday party for my daughter at a McDonaldโs. It was a very good party. It included the cakes with Ronald on it. I would have had more at the same place but they renovated. They used to have a caboose outside strictly for parties and removed it when the renovated
