Instructions were not clear I cut myself with a spoon, going to a hospital right now. Took me 10 minutes to write that with one hand and another 2 minutes to write that it took 10 minutes.

    1. Garlic too slow, bulk chop in a food processor
    2. Same for chili pepper
    3. Same for Onion
    4. Rice was done wrong, mix all your liquid shits and evenly coat cooked rice
    5. Green Onion done wrong too, grab a sushi mat or seran wrap the bottom half of ALL the green onions and bulk chop all at once
    6. Don't add proteins to your fried rice, use them as sides like a topping and cook them whole and or sliced after cooked
    7. Don't use pork fat, use butter because pork fat if you think about it isn't faster, and costs more
    8. Don't use a wok use a flat top stove, you can pump out 8 times more than a small wok like that
    9. Don't use raw garlic! Fucking stupid
    10. Fried is a ONE PAN ONE MAN recipe STOP putting shit in then taking them out 3 times, if you're gonna make FR just throw everything all into one pan and use your common sense on what should go in first: oil, garlic, onion, egg, rice, done, top with protein, garnish with GO, done

Key to making ANYTHING the fastest is setting up your mise en place thinking about what you'll do and what you'll need from start to finish and when you get used to it you get better and faster at it.

If I made that fried rice like you did I'd get fired for being too slow here in hawaii

Ngl I continue to feel anger from every episode you put out because there's so many things wrong with every video that literally any cook with experience could do way better, just saying. You're kinda like a hybrid home cook trying to seem like a restaurant cook/chef but I will say you are intelligent😉

I like to watch them eating the whole meal Joshua makes, because I'm always a bit concerned about how big portions he does when they're only two on the house and he records a lot of videos every week

in standard hong kong restaurant kitchen, a chef only take one minute to cook a dish of stir fried rice.(given all ingredients are ready) if you taking longer than 2 minutes all the time, you will probably lose your job!

Okay, isn't this just a tad dishonest Josh? You had your proteins, sauces, and veg mostly mised out already. Like picking out all of your veg, measuring for how much soy sauce, and having your proteins on a plate and ready is still a substantial amount of time. I know this is just for the fun of the video but this isn't even considering the shopping, planning, and clean up. I'd be way more impressed if you had to cook and measure your sauces straight out of the jug, your ginger straight from the microplane and into the wok. Running to the fridge and grabbing the one veg you need is classic restaurant life. Replicate THAT. Because at the end of the day, you basically did a restaurant level prep so you could make the dish to order. And that's a little ironic in a video about doing things at home, and not ordering from a restaurant.
