Have had this twice this week. I really enjoy it. I am also in Southern California and Ralph’s has Kroger brand red beans on the shelf. I feel like the kidney beans would be a much different texture. 🤷♂️

I'm a simpleton. Zatarains is good for me…dirty rice, jambalaya, Cajun spice, and spicy sausage. I'm from Massachusetts. We don't know a damn thing about New Orleans.

I made this. Very delicious! No problem finding canned red beans here in South Florida. 3 or 4 brands available in my local grocery store.

I would never shit on you for your choice of beans, as long as they aren't lima beans, no one likes those. I will give you a ration of shit for using canned beans. Soaking beans over night isn't really hard to do.
