I can't wait to try this but I notice at the begining you said a half cup of butter…near the end you say a quarter cup of butter. I looked under comments and you didn't put the recipe there. So I am looking for confirmation of the ingredients. Thanks

I tried making these before, but I forgot to air dry the mints for a 24-hour period. At the end of the day, I ended up with a cookie dough mixture basically. Short story shorter, I ended up just buying some at Cvs.

What a beautiful gift! Did you know you can take plain food-grade glycerine and add a few drops to refresh paste food colouring that is beginning to dry? When I was little I always thought of those treats as wedding mints because that is the only time I'd ever get to have any and it seems back in the day every wedding or anniversary reception always had a pretty dish of them on the cake table. I'll make a note to myself to make a batch of these for my family at Valentine's day! Thank you, Flo!

Thanks ever so much for your tips on making butter mints. You did an outstanding job showing how to make butter mint candy. Yesterday I make peanut brittle and pecan praline. Today making butter mint and soft candies. Have you ever experienced using extract flavors such as, orange, raspberry, anise, etc in butter mint candies ???
