And delivery people (Amazon or whoever) are under enough stress to get parcels out with barely enough time allocated for travel between. Frankly they ring the doorbell take the doorstep photo and getting back into the van by the time you open door. Shouting a thankyou is the nearest you get to communication (unless watching out the window to pounce)
