The main reason for the current spike in the price of eggs is avian flu. Egg farmers have been having to kill many of their chickens and small farms are really having issues. Large stores like Costco, Meijer, Walmart can offset the high cost of eggs by increasing prices elsewhere across the store, but overall, egg prices have been going up since the cost to raise chickens has gone up. I always considered eggs something to eat for protein when meat costs go up, but with the avian flu, prices on eggs are going up even faster. 😳
Helpful! Would you please tell us where you're shopping? At least the state? I find Aldi's prices vary widely by location and, within my area, even within a five-mile radius. I'm in northern VA, by the way. Thanks!

Do not buy the bakery pumpkin pie, the crust is nasty
The trick is you probably need to go 9-10a right when they open or soon after. If you go later in day the chances of getting discount stuff lessens.

I was at Aldi earlier today. Eggs are 3. 29/ dozen. Gas is below $3 /gallon at 2.85. I never see red stickers here either.
