Hey Wes! Your suggested roasted mix is what I make and occasionally I use black garlic, sesame oil and turmeric. I knew the one from keto app and created a mix for myself. Cheers from Canader eh!

Try roasted eggplant instead! It is sooo delicious! It's called baba ganuosh and I grew up eating it ( it's a lebanese side dish). I do use more tahini and add a little smoke flavor and it is outstanding. Great for keto!

Great job Wes and I'm glad you're back making consistent low carb videos again. These look real good, but for me the serving size would realistically be half the bowl you used…so that would be too many carbs for my day. Loves me some Hummus though! Thanks for your work on the vid.

So first of all. Dr. Berg said hummus is fine….. I don’t eat it often. Second I prefer the baba ghanoush with the roasted eggplant taste better and is lower carb… thats my 2 cents. I enjoy your videos as always! ❤️

Serious Keto’s version made with lupini beans tastes exactly like humus and is the same texture! It’s amazing and he deserves a lot of props for his work with it! I’ve made it and I and my wife loved it!

Omg thanks so much for this. My daughter loves hummus and a couple of days ago I was looking at how I could make it without all the nasties 😊

Thanks Wes! I’ve missed hummus but never really looked for a replacement, thinking I’d just be disappointed. Then, today, here you are to show me what I’ve been missing! I am making two dishes this week, one using cauliflower and the other using zucchini. I know I’ll have enough left over from them to make half recipes of each, so I’ll follow your suggestions and roast the garlic as well. Then it’ll be time to settle down with 3 little bowls – one of each type plus one of the two mixed!
I can’t wait to see what you have for us next time! 💕💕💕

I would not make hummus if I can't eat it with crispy pita bread chips. If you make roasted eggplant dip (baba ghanoush) instead which is basically the same recipe as hummus but using roasted eggplant then you don't even need a substitute at all. And it's delicious. But again, it needs the pita bread for dipping. What I'd like to know is how to make a good, crispy keto pita bread.

I haven’t tried it yet, but the roasted zucchini option seems very much like Baba Ganoush.
My husband is Palestinian. When I make hummus, I use the same ratio of tahini to lemon juice.
