Hello, I have just stumbled across your channel. Love it. You are a a caring and thoughtful lady. I love all your meal ideas. Nice to see how to stretch and bulk out meals. Thank you.x
It really seems to be the same everywhere – no toilet paper, pasta, bread, and some canned goods. But other than that there’s still a lot of food available! We just have to be resourceful and be willing to change plans on what we can find each week. Personally, we haven’t had any problems finding what we need yet. In Canada 🇨🇦
Love watching your videos Vicki! And following/messaging you on instagram 😀 Such a kind woman and a really lovely family as a whole! Stay safe and take care xxx
Watching from the U.S. we are having shortages here too. We only go out now on Friday for food.
Happy Mother's Day to you!
We have Mother's Day on the second Sunday in May.
Friends and family are helping others. My co-worker went shopping for a bag of groceries for me last week. I made "Taco Soup" instead of Chilli tonight, just to stretch the ingredients.
Thank you for showing consideration to others and not buying “extra” as some people are, even though you have a large family. I cried last week because I had to go to three different supermarkets to try and get my elderly Dad some bread and milk. I’m veggie myself, so I’ve dusted off some tins of chickpeas and kidney beans I found at the back of the cupboard. And like you said, adding pulses to food makes it go a lot further. God bless, and stay safe.
You shouldn’t take ibuprofen if you suspect you have coronavirus. It could make things worse. Paracetamol’s okay to use.
Really loved this video and your generosity. If you can get back to me could you tell me if you have a video that you’ve made where you’ve used lentils. That would be great 👍💖💖
New subscriber here. I really like the meal ideas. I need ideas on stretching my meats since we are “locked in” right now, like everyone else. Thanks!!
Good on you for thinking of others you’ve got a big heart xx
So sweet at the beginning I'm the same I usually go to aldi and asda bit of a drive away but with the queues I just went to our huge tesco which I've never seen crowds like it but I just got on wit it I got a shop minus loads of things like everybody else but times like this just have to make do but again cost a fortune because it was high end left on the shelf take care x
I’ve had the same on my instagram (_justjigs_ 👋) I was so worried about doing my meal plans and food hauls still but everyone was the same like you said and was a resounding yes xxx
I work as a nanny and I also use "You get what you get and you don't get upset". Another thing ma and the kids always say is "You don't always get your favourite, sometimes it's someone elses turn". It is very interesting times when we have to change how we plan our cookibg depending on what is avaliable – maybe it will make us all better cooks in the end!
Love that moto! Great video x x x
Let the haters hate. Your absolutely amazing and such an inspiration.
Get over your Florida itro.. we are in a pandanemic
You have a heart of gold ❤❤❤ hope you and your family are well stay safe and take good care xxxxxx
You are so kind and sweet
Stay safe xxxxx
I’ve ordered a lot of porridge on line 😂😂😂
You're so kind. God bless you for doing all these for others. You've won yourself a new subscriber. 💃🏽❣
I've really enjoyed your videos for the past few months and really thought it was well thought out to just add a disclaimer at the start of the video because of the current situation. I'm a vegetarian but my partner eats meat and one thing that we've been doing since the start of the new year is making veggie 'meat' out of vital wheat gluten. I know a lot of people use VWG for adding a bounciness to bread but we've been using it to make meat substitutes like chicken for curries or beefy stuff similar to quorn products. It might be a good way to make your budget stretch a little further for some meals 🙂
I don't go out because I am at risk age but out of the blue my daughter who I never see turns up with a bag of food for me and told me not to go out she will go shopping for me. Bless her and everyone who is going the extra mile. You are great keep up with your video's because it's good to know how others are coping with the life changing way of life ❤️
Shelves still empty where I am
Shelves
Thank you for keeping up the food haul vids. Great forward thinking on the alcohol front 😁
It others are being unkind, remember it's probably not directed at you, but at what's going on.
It's good to see what other people can buy and what they decide to cook with it, give us idea's
Please keep the video's coming and I have noticed that with the meat I slow cook my gammon now and please stay safe xx
Where exactly in Lidl is the all purpose seasoning kept please? I can never see it. Also how much is it please? X
Please dont feel bad about what you can get and what some of us cant because I cant get alot at the moment but I can get my hands on maybe what others cant…its the way it is x Id give anythin for a loaf of flippin bread so I could have some marmalade on toast cos me….I'm addicted to marmalade and got that in but not the bread lol x I can get batches tho so that could be different lol x
Hey Oscar! Love y’all stay safe!
Another good tip for making mince go further in spag Bol chilli shepherds pie etc add some porridge oats you don’t notice them and it makes it go so far .
Hi hun how r u and ur family? Hope uz are all well? Went to wrk at sainsbury's last night the shelves stripped bare didnt manage to get anything but thankfully went to lidel and got some essentials today. My son has been off all week and the school suggested the website bitesize for educational resources hope that helps hun xxx
Could do a video on your home schooling routine when you have one x
Keep doing what you’re doing Vicky! What a kind person to have thought of other shoppers and your neighbors. I’m having to be more creative with meals too. I wonder if this is how my Granny felt during the Great Depression.
Hi, I have only been watching you for a short while and you are such a nice thoughtful person and family. You are down to earth and think of others. Love you recipes and shopping hauls. I use my slow cooker a lot, my hubby only eat plain food no spices. Keep the vlogs coming please xx
Love your food hauls. Keep safe.
Very kind and thoughtful of you to put the little disclaimer before you showers your groceries! X
I'm enjoying your video's. It's nice to have a bit of escapism from all the worry xx
Great vlog as usual Vicky . You are a very kind and thoughtful person. I hope you and your family stays safe xx
If anyone is struggling to find stuff in the supermarket use your local corner shop, they have toilet roll, pasta, rice, cooking oil, flour and milk in mine. They need your support and you can get everything you need.
What a lovely, caring woman you are. I've offered to walk the neighbour's dogs as they are both elderly and have health issues. It's at times like this that we really start to see human kindness at it's best. My 10yo daughter took 2 big boxes of creme eggs into class yesterday so each k child got one at the end of the day. It was just a little gesture but it made the kids smile at the ends of a stressful day x
Wow you had meat!! All I could get was lamb mince and sausages. Its such a crazy time isn’t it x
How lovely of you x
As everyone else has said, thank you for keeping up the posts, my boys 5 and 7 like watching them too! We all need to eat so your videos are very helpful. Working together, encouraging each other we will all get through this, it won't be forever x
Love the tips on stretching good items to make it go furth
fab haul Vicky yes its best to stretch meals out if you're able that way food goes further.
I have a gammon joint in the fridge. Would you add any liquid into the slow cooker or would you just put the gammon in by itself? Thank you x
