Did you have any leftover bones from processing to make your own bone broth? I used my instant pot a couple weeks ago to make bone broth out of some whitetail deer legs. Cooked in 2 hours. I assume you can do more or less time. Also found out ACV helps get the marrow nutrients out of the bones. I freeze it in Mason jars and it's ready to use for when anyone is sick or to cook a roast or soup!

Even though I don’t like the thought of eating goats I really love your channel! Hope there’s no hard feelings, I have trouble eating meat. You know what you’re doing and I don’t mean to judge you. I will keep on watching and just get over it.

    Google GOAT MEAT!!!!!!
Young goat is a beautiful meat, it is so tender that it takes half the time than you think to cook. You can use any pork, chicken or turkey, recipe for it. Go easy on the spices, sage, thyme parsley, garlic, were good choices.
The fat from the kidneys is special fat, BEST! used for cooking, especially for pie crusts. Don't use it for soap making it is a waste. Wikipedia kidney fat uses, or YouTube kidney fat uses for any animal. This fat only comes from butchering, goat milk you have more of all year.
I raised dairy goats and wethers for years for milk and meat. The reason you found no recipes is because the meat is called Chevon and other names.
    Enjoy your adventures, I do!

The beat thing to use for your soap is to use plain old MORREL LARD It has.Perservative in it so your soap won’t smell rancid. First tile I made the soap I used beef tallow. Went through the whole process and even added scent and within three days I smelled all rancid.

Im glad your not wasteing the goat, i have a question thoe what did you do with the bones amd organs? And blood i know some people compost the blood other's save it and make blood pan cakes. Organs and bones is mixed ive heard of people composting them and others giveing it to their dogs and cats raw. Others dont do that because you can gwt sick if your dog licks your face.

I am sorry.. I have to ask even if it is a wrong question to ask …. ??? Which goat did you process? I have thought about doing same with my wethered boys I can not seem to sell. Just keep hoping some one will come adopt them. I dont know why we had so many boys last year. Out of 22 babies we only got 5 girls. Not good ratio and no one seems to want to spend for boys fixed or not. Even if they have documented lineage @ $75 no one wants. I have no problem processing birds, rabbits and other meat just have a block so far on my goats. Still though definitely consider if I could or should. It must have been a very hard decision for your family. I know you love your goats very very much. Also thank you for your courage on this subject. And thank you for all your informative videos. Keep it up

Hi Crystal! Happy Friday to you all! So, now I can't wait to try MY Instant Pot (my sweet daughter got me one for Christmas, and I haven't even taken it out of the box yet!!) The goat meat looks delicious….for sure. Can you explain to me what it tastes like? I was wondering if you could possibly compare it to another type of meat? I am glad that the wether is serving your family well. Hope you guys all have a beautiful weekend! <3

If you put the meat on the rack/trivet, and put onions, or celery down, it will keep your meat out of the liquid in the bottom. Eating what you raise that won't feed you in other ways only makes sense. If you were raising something inedible, I wouldn't watch you, because you would be crazy to raise something you can't eat. You can also harvest the fat from what you cooked for tallow. Just be sure to use the boiling method (3 times) to clean it. Tallow + Lard make an awesome soap.
