I used all my leftover corned beef to make your hash! Now I think I have to make another corned beef and cabbage!!! Technically, it wasn't even leftovers, it was hidden in the veggie bin in the fridge!!!! LOL

Ahh, yes, exactly two years later and I'm looking for ways to use the corned beef I cooked on the 14th. First I'm going to try the "shepherd's" pie from earlier today. Then I may try this one if I have enough left over, or if Kroger puts corned beef on sale after the 17th.

I grew up in Brooklyn and love knishes. These are different in shape from long ago in Brooklyn and they didn't use filling like yours, but yours look amazing and I'm certain they are delicious. Thanks for the memories.

I live walking distance from Yonah Schimmel in NYC. Chef John clearly knows his knisheries. But I really love the other classic New York knish, the square type with the crispy yet somehow meshy crust. Can you show us how to make those?

It's green potato skins that contain the toxin solanine. Potatoes are usually stored away from sunlight to prevent it. Any green on a potato should be peeled away. Known cases of poisoning are generally associated with families that had little or nothing other than green potatoes to eat.

I grew up in Brooklyn and spent A LOT of time in Coney Island, the home of the best knishes. This is the first time I’ve ever seen a round one but am going to try this for sure as it has endless variations – thanks a million!!
