Aloha Misty! I haven't heard that phrase "Guaranz Ballbaranz" since I was a teenager. Love it and it looks good. That's crazy it cost 7.50 for the Fried Chicken and Noodles ( Manapua Man style) and that Garlic Chicken Breakfast for 10 dollars.😋 Def headed there in a cpl of days! Mahalo🤙

agree with the previous comment, you are always showcasing mom-and-pop places in Oahu, I visited places you showcased when my family and I were on vacation last summer. Thank you for all that you do.

I love the name of the seasoning pack…”Garans Balbarans” 😂 so local! It really catches attention. You find the best Mom and Pop shops to showcase. I’m keeping a list of places to go to on my next trip home. 😊. Fried noodles is my favorite no matta what.
It’s unusual to see Lup cheong in rice at restaurants, isn’t it? It’s so home traditional kine cooking. As a teenager, I used to slice lup cheong and remove the globs of fat then soaked it in hot water to remove more fat then it was added to the uncooked rice pot to cook. It was sure flavorful. Thanks for bringing up that memory.

Misty, since you were in your truck there on Kapalama Ave by the graveyard/Kam School lower bus depot…. any thoughts of doing other graveyard(s) tour with historical famous individuals?

Thanks for always giving straightforward and honest reviews, Misty! Getting kinda tired of hearing people pump and hype up places that are just mediocre. That’s why I don’t trust Yelp anymore, funny reading all the hype there! Keep up the good work!!!

Aloha Misty: Your smoked meat looked awesome — must have been really yummy after being in the smoker for six hours; great job. The food from K & K Kitchen looked awesome. I need to get to my old neighborhood when I get home again. The prices you paid was amazing for the amount of food — one serving would last the whole day (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Looking forward to your next vlog. Best wishes to you, and Aiden! Much 🧧, my fellow alumnus! 🤙

Maybe you should take up one of them company offers just to see what you get ! You come across as a very proud woman, happy to pay your way and love supporting local foodie shops. You show locals and tourist watching this where to find these interesting foodie places. You do find some bargain places to have a plate lunch at 😋
I have seen some YouTubers promote a company while doing their thing, some are weird because the company they promote usually have nothing to do with food. So obviously there is some sort of payment to the YouTuber for doing that.
In saying that you deserve a pat on the back because companies have recognised your work on YouTube 🎩 hats off to you 🤙

Aloha Misty! When I'm back visiting, I will for sure pick up the seasoning you showed in this video. The plate lunches looked great too and yes, you get a lot of food for the money you pay for it which is great. Mahalo for always giving your honest opinion on all you show in your videos. Have a great weekend.
