(For me) kids in the kitchen is a hard FAST 'NO'!

They can hang out, be my sous chef and learn how to cook, clean, cross-contamination, organize whatever….

I am not eating a piece of ham (or anything else) from a package that kids have had their hands all over, I refuse!

Kids don't take hygiene serious enough or portion control serious enough!

I would rather be a 'kitchen supervisor' and help them learn, then they can do that on their own when they're out on their own!

    (IMHO)

Awesome video. I have learn to shop no name or store brand. Prices are rising in Ontario 🇨🇦 as well and making the switch has helped with groceries. Will have to look more into that cereal and see if its available here. One tip when i get back from vacation is i add another day to my vacation time. If its a long vacation i take all the clothes to the laundry mat and do several loads and come hone and just put it away lolol

I have a question i have a laundry room and storage there. But not really a pantry. Should i move stuff in my laundry room to other parts of the house or make a spare room into a pantry area with shelves? You may or may not see this. Just wondering what your thoughts are. I've been debating on how to move things or not move things.

I make my own breakfast sandwiches for my kids. Usually I'll take a Saturday and make a couple of cans of biscuits and then add egg, cheese, and either sausage or bacon. I wrap them up in press n seal wrap, put in the fridge and the kids just grab one and warm up in the microwave in the mornings.

I love that you have your kids pack their own lunches. I wish I had done that with my oldest child. I’m definitely going to try that out for my younger kids!

I love the Movie Theater popcorn from Thrive, but my favorite kind is the Sprouted Popcorn. The kernels pop up super crunchy and are unlike any other kind of popcorn I've ever tried. I highly recommend trying those kernels if you haven't already!

I thought I was a genius, planning to have the Walmart groceries delivered when we arrive home from Disney.
Except delivery times were all book up. So I schelpt my tired self and did it the old fashioned way.

I was wondering if you could share recommendations for food storage for someone who has a very small pantry but a bigger family (5+). Maybe what kind of storage cabinet, shelves, bins, etc might be available to create a second pantry space either in the home or garage. Thank you!

Maybe your family goes through snacks so quickly it's a non-issue, but here in south FL, pouring things like cereal and pretzels into a tupperware container makes them vulnerable to humidity staleness in a hurry. I learned a trick to buy packets of food-safe silicone and slip a couple in there – one on the bottom, one in the middle, and it really makes a difference.

You're so wise to make sure you had a few meals on hand when returning from vacay. I don't know what it is about flying, but it makes me feel more worn out than three hours of hardcore cardio/weight-lifting.

Your tips are always amazing. I tried that easy cream of tomato soup tonight with my homemade tomato sauce. I did cook up a pound of ground beef and added it to the soup along with some rice to make it more of a meal as I mad a large pot. It was delicious. Thank u for sharing it.
