I started studying Japanese a few months ago and plan on studying/living in Japan in the future. One thing that makes me nervous is the fact that because of my diet/health I won't be able to eat alot of the food.
Your channel has brought me relief that I can make amazing recipes and enjoy Japanese cuisine with no worries.
本当ありがとうございました、みわさん!

I love your videos so much. You present Japanese cooking in such an interesting and healthy way. Truly such a unique channel. I always loved Japanese food and really enjoy learning the techniques and ingredients but was a bit dismayed by how many additives and few vegetables i in the food I could get near me. You videos show Japanese home cooked cuisine in such a modern healthy way. Thank you
I would have to take out any ginger since my husband is allergic to it but other than that it looks so good 🤤
I’m definitely making this recipe. I could almost taste the soup through my iPad! Wow it looks to be bursting with flavor. Thank you for the wonderful recipe.

Thank you sooo much again for the nice video but also for the calming effect 🤗🤗
The water after the first boil of ginger can be used as tea. Just add lemon and honey to taste. Your videos make my tummy miss home. I'm not Japanese but my tummy is. 😂😂😂
I’m always so grateful when you prepare a vegan dish. My family lived in Japan from January 1955 to July 1961, all but the first six months in Gifu City. I’m 67 now but would love to visit Gifu as I have never been back. You never know I guess. Thank you again for the lovely channel. ♥️♥️
Hi Miwa-san….I love curry so much and your recipe with the addition of udon noodles looks sooooo good. I like to serve curry with a side of takuan too. I’ve never thought to add corn but I’m going to start doing this as it will add a touch of natural sweetness. My Dad grew up in Gobo Wakayama prefecture by the ocean. He was born in BC Canada but was sent as a young child to school in Japan and couldn’t return to Canada until his early 20’s because of WW II. I was able to visit his childhood home there many years ago. Take care 😊🇨🇦
I love ❤️ Japanese recipes! Thank you ! Miwa’s
レシピにとてもありがとうございました。^^ 明日、僕はこのレシピを作りたいです。:P
this looks so good! I love dishes that use so many vegetables. I will definitely make this soon. Thanks for the great recipe!
Great recipe. You’ve revolutionised my food as I watched your silken tofu salads video and I have it all the time now!
Amazing! Loved your vacation videos. Appreciated the recipe for the pickled ginger too! (And of course the soup as well.) Thank you!
Miwa, have you ever considered organizing a cultura;/cuisine tour of your country for foreign tourists???
I buy so much pickled ginger.. You save me so much money and I can have ginger with more heat and flavor!!
Good Morning! 💝🙏💝 Thank You for another beautiful meal. 💝🙏💝
Japan is definitely on my (very long!) list of places I want to visit. My Bucket List has smaller things to very large things (like walking on the moon), because you just never know! If I ever do come to Japan, I'll definitely be having traditional breakfasts. 🙂
This looks like it would be amazing for breakfast! And I bet if you have leftovers the next day, you could thicken it up and add a puff pastry crust to make it like a pot pie, or add mashed potatoes or cauliflower (or a combination) to the top to make it like sheppard's pie. 🙂 Oooh or use filo pastry and make them parcels! OK I haven't had breakfast yet, but I'm excited to try this recipe lol.
It's delicious and so easy, thank you Miwa's 😋
Your videos always give me the best ideas. Thank you Miwa for sharing your country and your recipes. ❤
Beautiful scenery of the Fujisan , i would love to go near the mount Fuji one day . Your soup looks so yummy that´s a recipe i will definitely try ! the last time i visited Japan i went to Kyoto for a week . it was very nice . i really liked Nara and the Bamboo forest . I still remember how peaceful it felt to walk in the bamboo forest , the energy was wonderful !
I lived in Japan. (Hikone) for one year. I loved traveling to Kanazawa prefecture and the Japanese alps. Of course, my favorite close place to visit was Kyoto with the beautiful temples and wonderful food!
I will definately try this! I need to use a lot of leftover veggies anyway and I'm super exited how my self-made curry blend will perform in this kind of receipe
My mouth watered in the first seconds of the video 😳 also loved to know how pickled ginger is made
Looks so good! Thanks for the recipe….
wanna make this!!
Kare raisu is one of our favourite dishes I have to admit usually I use the simple roux to make it. We always use (sweet) potato, onion, carrot and green beans in it (edamame work really well as well. I sometimes make a dipping curry from scratch. It goes so well with any kind of katsu. Usually we have it with chicken katsu but tofu katsu works very well too. And having it with tamago yaki it's amazing hahaha (and though I prefer not to freeze normal curry, the dipping curry freezes well so good to have on hand). We almost always eat curry with rice; it's my favourite way, but my husband likes it with udon as well. For pickles I love my rakkyo with curry and i got a fukujin zuke recipe from a friend that is delicious too. Next time I have fresh ginger I'll try your recipe 🙂
My favourite place in Japan is probably teh area of Tokyo I lived in in Itabashi-ku near the boarder with Nerima-ku but outside of Tokyo I just love the Kamakura area. Not only the area around teh station but along the enoden line as well. Did you know that one stop from Kamakura station on the enoden line is a great traditional sweets restaurant. I took my mothe rthere and she loved it 🙂
Who makes curry udon noodles the day after you make Japanese curry? 😍Oh so delicious in just 20mins! Thank you for stopping by^^
