The breakfast ideas are useful as I look for ways to avoid bread and no longer eat cereal. I do regularly eat sourdough bread at the moment with marmite (fermented yeast extract: You either "love it or hate"). I ate a Korean breakfast: Rice plus soy sauce and sesame oil plus green onion plus fried egg on top and that was a good breakfast. Miso soup is also another good option too. I might try a vegetable "tea" ie vegetable broth in thermos to take to work and drink as a hot drink replacement/snack option.

The announcements were nice to hear and to share from you – thank you. Today, I learn it is March 10 which some clever wag decided is Super "Mario" day (Mar 10)! But really each day is what each individual makes of it eg their own breakfast. Thank you again.

Love the soup idea! I found sweet brown mochi rice and love that but I’ll try the sushi rice too for a change! I really like the idea of gut healthy food because I have auto immune problems with my digestion (Crohn’s disease) and I have controlled it with diet. Love your ideas!

And oh!! You're a February baby too! Congrats on gaining a year (your kids' cake is so cute lol!) & the channel's success as well. 💕💕 I'm happy to see it go well.
I'm defintely trying the rice! I have adzuki beans in my pantry, as well as the sweet rice actually (because I like to cook my rice with a tbsp of sweet rice for the texture sometimes). 🍚

The English word for the leftover bean liquid? I guess the closest would be aquafaba. It often refers to chickpeas/garbanzo beans but can mean any bean cooking liquid. I don't think this is a common English cooking word though lol!

Happy Birthday xx and thankyou for your knowledge and the joy you bring!
The liquid after boiling beans is called aquafaba in english. Also to help with your english try to say celery as you would the word "sell" as in buy and sell, sellery haha, your teeth touch your top front teeth on the LLs. I can't wait to be let back in to Nagoya to visiting my fam!!XX

I am going to look for the beans in the market in my town or maybe I will look on Amazon. I want to try the rice! Your grandmothers recipes are awesome! Thank-you for sharing them with us! I got a clay pot as a special present to myself because I do so much cooking! Can’t wait to make rice in!

Happy Birthday! I am from the southern US, Texas. And as one commenter already said, we call it "pot liquor," when it is from beans, or vegetable mixtures. It was prized and we drink it from a cup, warm. Or put it over rice or mashed potatoes.

Congratulations and Happy Birthday! I loved watching the video and can't wait to try the soup! Unfortunately I will have to wait a bit before I get to try it, because I am back in the hospital. They found more blood clots when I went for my checkup, so we are figuring out how to better prevent them. I am feeling alright, other than feeling worn down emotionally and the food here not agreeing with my stomach. Thank you for making my day a bit brighter with your videos! Again Happy Birthday and Congratulations, smiles!

Happy belated birthday Miwa! I'll look forward to making red bean rice. I love sweet bean mochi but I've never cooked adzuki beans so I didn't know they can be bitter. Interesting how something sweet starts out bitter. My favourite film involving Japanese food is Sweet Bean (あん). Have you seen it?

I love all your videos, Miwa さん. They have introduced me to so many traditional Japanese recipes, and I now cook them most days for lunch. I love your philosophy, and I want nothing more than to eat lots of nutritious veggies! Every day you post is a pleasant surprise ❤️ Good work
