I LOVE that you went to Ralph’s. It’s a “fancy” Kroger store… like Smith’s. The cheap Kroger here is Food 4 Less. I have shopped at many Ralph’s over the last few decades in SoCal. In my experience, the best deals are found in the most expensive neighborhoods. Maybe the people there are just buying whatever they want and are not so excited about chicken thighs so they end up on Wow! I would call my boat the “Safari So Goodie”

Ralph’s is the store I’ve shopped at in California and I also thought prices were reasonable, or at least less than other touristy places I’ve been.
The boat is not the expensive part to owning a boat in California. It is the water way rental space for the boat. and the insurance to keep it there. Expensive as hell. To top it off they belong to and expensive yatch club most likely. lol
