It looks good, you are a good cook. I watched your chicken chow main recipe and you used a red chili looking sauce mixed with the soy sauce and you called it something that I had no idea what you said, it sounded like it started with the letter s but I don’t know what you called it.

Hi. I bought your cookbook and it came in the mail today. I am SO excited to cook some of your recipes. I say "some" because I can't cook them ALL ASAP. Darn it. Looks like a great book! Thank you!!!

Many of my friends are from Bosnia and I’ve watched them make Burek. You did amazing! I love that you were inspired to make this for your husband. You inspired me to take my husband to a Bosnian restaurant today. We had burek, cevapi with ajvar, dolma and shiskkabob. They had Vegeta seasoning for sale. It’s much like Knorr chicken bouillon. You would love that seasoning in your cooking.

Being from Balkans (Serbia to be precise) and seeing that you found out and made something like this made me really happy 🥰 Normally, we say "burek is only with meat" haha and we normally use pie crust ("kora za pitu" in Serbian)
I would love to see you make some other burek variations (meat, spinach and cheese) and just Balkan food in general as I love your content and cooking 😄

Edit: This reminds me more of a Sarajevska pita because of the crust, but I love both burek and that pie 🥰😍

Love your videos. You look great btw!! I recently made some borak and strudel. Same type of dough. I used bread flour and kneeded the crap out of it in my KA stand mixer.
…like 10 minutes on low and 15 minutes on med-low. Then rest it for a bit.
I was able to roll and stretch this dough to the moon! Paper thin…so much fun! used a piece of fabric sprinkled with flour to roll and stretch it out on. Membrane thin!!!
I recommend everyone try this in order to understand the mechanics of it. Its basicly home made filo. Much easier than I could imagine.
oil with olive oil or butter. Fill it sweet or savory! experiment. Fun!!!!

I am Greek, and I've learned to make a ton of Mexican dishes from this channel. So, to see a dish that I grew up with on this channel (boureki/bougatsa is the Greek name for it, depending on how it's served) is a fun twist of events. It's also made with ground meat to make a sort of meat pie version, or with a semolina vanilla pudding filling, dusted with powdered sugar and cinnamon.

Many years ago I saw a video of a bakery making filo dough. The man must have been in his late 60's, but he had that dough stretched over an 10 x 8 area, perfectly and he did it so fast, I am still impressed.
